Tragedy in Charlottesville
More details will come out, but it serves as a sobering reminder there are things A LOT more important than wins and losses on a football field.

One of the victims, Devan Chandler, was from Huntersville and went to Hough High.

I don’t even want to start to understand what drives someone to this. 3 young men gone and another will live out the rest of his days behind bars. We can disagree and still respect one another. We can compete and still care about our opponents. And if we want to improve this world we must be willing to be understanding and show grace and kindness to others.

Re: Tragedy in Charlottesville
Sounds like the suspect is a current student. The incident happened on a field trip to DC. The article I read said that the suspect had been charged with a misdemeanor weapons charge (not on campus) but failed to report the charge to the university.

He went on the trip to a play then waited till they got back to Charlottesville before ambushing football players on the bus
