33years at Davidson and a class act. His son Matt will be new coach and will do well.

my dad went there, and I've followed the program since I was a kid. Coach Bob is one of the best that ever lived, and all the great coaches in college basketball will tell you the same thing.

Likely unpopular opinion, but thought his players took cheap shots.
Good on him for staying loyal to DC though.

I got the email from Davidson mentioning there was to be an announcement. I figured it was something to do with S Currry.

I grew up a big-time Davidson Wildcat fan. My dad worked there as a carpenter and we got tickets to all the Coliseum games and passes to all the Johnston Gym games. I got to see Fred Hetzel, Don Davidson, Barry Teague, Dick Snyder, Tom Youngdale, Dave Moser, Mike Maloy, Doug Cook, Jerry Kroll, Wayne Huckel, Eric Minkin, Brian Adrian, and some fine basketball. Lefty had some players for sure.
Then I saw the light and headed up the mountain for 4 years plus grad school and never cheered for them again. Afterwards I'll admit I do have a soft spot for them now since they aren't in the conference and don't play the Mountaineers anymore. I really wanted Curry and the team to win their regional a few years ago.
McKillop definitely did things right or he wouldn't have lasted 33 years.
