They can thank VT for that. Everyone above them made it, only VT below them made it with their win. They are better than some of the teams that made it but such is the way of things when you aren't top 3 in your p5 conference or #1 in a g5.

I like Wake, but I honestly have no feelings at all about them getting the shaft in this situation. For these P5 conferences who send half (or more it seems) of their conference, it's just hard to feel sorry for someone who gets left at home. Win more games and would have gone....probably one or two would have done it.

The NCAA tourny isn't about picking the 68 best teams. It's about money and ultimately crowning a national champ through a loosely representative system.

Agreed. If the 64 best teams (in the selection committee minds..not mine) were selected. It would predominantly be P5 teams. What makes March Madness great is the George Mason's of the world getting a chance to dance and potentially win some games and make it to final four as they did many years ago....if not all the way to final four..an upset happens from time to time.
In regards to WF specifically, their coach did a great job with transfers and existing players. Seem to be on the rise

Hey - let's face it - the NCAA is an arm of the Big 10 - they are always taken care of - 9 teams this year and none will win it all - the Big 10 hasn't won an NCAA BB championship in 22 years and during that same period they have won only two FB championships (Ohio St twice)

The Big 10 has a lot of good teams but no great team. I'd be surprised if any Big 10 team makes the Final Four. I've got no particular animus towards Michigan but they don't belong. That doesn't mean they can't win a game or two, but that's not justification for picking them over some teams that had better seasons.

I'm terrible at filling out brackets, but I don't have any B10 teams making the final 4. I do have a couple in the Elite 8.
