Now Vince Tyra has turned down FSU offer. So perhaps good news for Satt. Hopefully next season shows more progress for him. It certainly doesn't help that UK has Stoops continuation in building that program.
And now Tyra has submitted his resignation!

Someone said Satt should go after the Duke job. The current state of affairs in Louisville would be reason enough to drive anyone into the (blue) devil’s arms. I wouldn’t blame him one bit of he jumped.
So Tyra renegs on FSU job, UL president bolts for Penn State, and Tyra resigns from UL. Wonder what kind of sh!t is fixing to come out of Louisville. I hope Scott is clean.
What does Vince Tyra do now?

"Hilariously, rumors spread late last week that Tyra wanted to fire Satterfield and hire Jeff Brohm but Bendapudi said no, which frustrated Tyra so much he started looking for opportunities elsewhere. Now, Bendapudi’s gone, leaving Floyd Street spinning.

Will Bendapudi’s exit make Tyra reconsider leaving Louisville? A source tells Mark Ennis that Tyra has turned down Florida State’s offer, but it’s not clear whether that means he’s staying or just getting out of the industry altogether. If Tyra says, does that mean Satterfield is out? Either way, the meltdown sure is fun to watch from afar."

I hope that he has Jimmy Sexton calling Duke and UVA although he likely wouldn't be first and maybe not second choice at either school at this point.

If Tyra stays at L'ville; it ain't good for Satt unless next season is great. And if there is a new AD; it ain't good for Satt unless next season is great.

If I was Satt I’d damn near wreck my motorcycle trying to get out of that town. Way too toxic.

All I know is Dude got it done. During his time at App we went toe to toe physically with our P5 opponents. Not being physical has been a huge problem since he left. GS pushed us around and so did UL, 3 times.
Good point.

Speaking of messes, Penn State meets the qualifications for that "mess" category. It's a very communicable condition. Hope we can continue to keep it at a distance.

I wish Scott waited and could have got West Virginia job. Much more of a "fit" IMO.

Iron Mike was as good a S&C coach as he was a complete jerk to athletic trainers and other S&C coaches. And he was pretty good at the S&C thing.

Don't forget to include the video people and others. He was a very good strength coach and I know that NFL people liked him but he verbally abused people. Several people celebrated when he left.

I don’t know anything about the situation, but it almost seems like Satt may be the most reasonable, stable person in the whole program at UL.

I just know about the athletic trainers and other S&C coaches, but that doesn't surprise me.

I will say we don't know what happened at Louisville. For him to leave Satt, it must have been quite something considering how much Satt protected him at App.

Things are not looking good for Satt at Louisville. Losing coaches also means losing recruiting horsepower.

Definitely not good for the program. Any activity from UL players entering the transfer portal?

Tragically, an athletic department still in dire straits financially is only reason that he is still there. The outgoing president wouldn't let outgoing AD burn more dollars on buyout of his contact.

Not a scenario for hiring quality coaches or signing recruits that can complete with Kentucky and the upper half of ACC.

You are correct. Louisville sportswriters say he probably has to win 8 games next year. If he doesn't hopefully Nick Saban will have him as an analyst.

He’d have to sign on as an assistant at Virginia. They hired Clemson’s Tony Elliott Friday.
