If Satt makes a bowl game this season, they might give him a raise and an extension.

I hope he has time to turn that thing around down there. I have told several "ACC" friends he will need 3-4 years to be really competitive in that division. They were all doubtful....It could be a nasty first year.

Yes, Satt’s first year he will be lucky to win 3-4 games. He will recruit like crazy the next cycle and land a couple 4 star kids. But we have seen what Satt can build. The SI author makes very good points that he is used to having less and competing at a higher level than most would expect. But he knows how to build a roster and manage the classes. That is an important skill that is not often recognized. He will use speed as his allie. He probably will make a bowl game in his second season. It will be apparent to all in Louisville that they have the right guy.

Seems to me that a big part of this article was about setting expectations for the Louisville fans. I do think Satterfield will do a great job but it will take time. They will show improvement in 2019 but they aren't going to leap to the top of the ACC.

This article is great publicity for App also though. I love the way that these writers talk about the culture at App.
