As if losing to South Carolina was not bad enough for the Vols, Jalen Hurd will be transferring at the end of the season. He is the 12th member of that top 5 recruiting class to leave UT.

Today in college football world things can sure change in a hurry. Baylor got some heavy issues too.

He'd have to sit out. If he's transferring and plans to play, he'll go FCS. Or did you think we are still FCS?

Sources at Tennessee don't think he will graduate in time to be considered a graduate transfer. I think a move to FBS with a red shirt year would be best for him. It will allow him time to adjust to his desired role of WR or TE, while keeping him from getting hurt in any game. If he wanted to remain RB, I would suggest the FCS route, for he would likely be close to unstoppable with the right O-Line. Since he wants to change, I think sitting out is the better option.

Tennessee has really been devastated with injuries since we played them. It's too back as out strength of schedule has taken a hit with the downward spiral of UT and UM. If Apps wins out that should matter too much.

No I am very much aware we are in the FBS, thanks for the vote of confidence...I was thinking he'd either graduate and not have to sit out, or as /\PP ST/\TE GRAD 09 says, sit out the one year...or if he switched majors to one that is not offered at UT but is at App (I don't even know if one exists) he wouldn't have to sit out.

Ironic that we get bowl eligibility before the Vols! They play Tenn. Tech this weekend. Aren't they FCS? Must be Homecoming. TTU coach's last name is Satterfield? Any relation?
