We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

When I posted the above post, I thought that Brady was more of the GOAT than Belichick. However, someone else out there would like to be Belichick's next Tom Brady.appfanjj wrote: ↑Wed Dec 11, 2024 9:50 amI imagine that Tom Brady is the GOAT and Belichick rode his coattails. Re: UNC Fires Mack Brown
Bill Belichick’s contract with UNC is expected to be a 3-year, $30 million deal.
The expectation is that NIL at UNC will be upwards of $20 million for Belichick’s program. There will be as many as 30 new staffers as well. Massive commitments from Carolina to the new head coach and his program.

Re: UNC Fires Mack Brown
I see that the media is making a really big deal of an NFL coach coming to UNC-Ch. It is awesome that App got one before they did if only for a few days.
I guess UNC-Ch is just copying the Appalachian Model...

UNC will be preseason top 10 only to fall out of top 25 by week 4, like clockwork

So, Belichick's first road game will be in UNCC's high school stadium. At that point, reality may set in.

Re: UNC Fires Mack Brown
It is a three year deal. I am not sure he will want to deal with all the recruiting aspects of the college game. Maybe I am mistaken. He said he would treat it like an NFL situation. So, maybe they live a majority in the portal and pay for high school kids they want...so, limiting the recruiting time. Who knows. I think this is a three year attempt to make UNC better...then hand off to his kid. If he

Re: UNC Fires Mack Brown
There will be an athletic administrator and seperate staff to solely deal with recruiting and NIL. I assume Belichick will at most evaluate players but he aint sitting in no recruits home unless possible an elite level top 10 guy. Michael Lombardi already chosen as his GM, Top notch guy with impressive resume. This will be the test case for a new college football model. Belichick has already said this will be run like an nfl organization so basically your first minor league football team. If this works then college football will defenitely seperate into different divisions etc. This is gonna cost a ton of money that quite frankly I dont think UNC has. It wouldnt shock me if this isnt approved by the BOT due to cost. If approved then UNC is defenitely all in.BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Thu Dec 12, 2024 5:44 amIt is a three year deal. The investment in NIL is far more significant and impactful than Belichick in my opinion. That being said, really really hope this blows up in their face.

Re: UNC Fires Mack Brown
Belichik is essentially a figurehead in this organization. The staff will do all the day to day work. At some point the all SEC and Big10 schools will completely migrate to these types of full Pro models (some already have). It used to be facilities, exposure, and swag were what differentiated the big from small programs. Now it’s the NIL collectives. They will spend in a year what App can spend in a lifetime.
Enjoy college football for about 10 more years, because that’s about how long it will be around.

A 72 year old man gets 10,000,000.00 a year, from the most liberal public university in the south, to coach football.
Make it make sense -- well actually it does because the fan base is the biggest bunch of jock riders of all time. I woulda been a UNC football fan if they went and have hired Drink.
And once his son is named DC or Coach in waiting, I will go back and find my original post from last week.
***Come April they may have to fire Hubert -- this experiment isn't really looking to swift on the hard wood.

I personally hope they keep wasting their money, I'm sure their alum and sycophants in the state house will find some way to get our tax dollars involved.DenverOfTheEast wrote: ↑Thu Dec 12, 2024 7:10 amA 72 year old man gets 10,000,000.00 a year, from the most liberal public university in the south, to coach football.
