We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. So it sounds like most of you so far think a coach can still build a team over several years.i sure hope so.

If some expectations are 7-6 that might as well be for every year going forward because unless something changes we will have a revolving door and will be looking for half a new roster every year. I recall several years ago when we had that good run we had an offensive line, backs and receivers who, at the beginning of the run were mainly sophomores. We could be happy knowing those dudes had 2 more years. Now we can expect good players to leave. Either we should expect 9+ wins or resign ourselves to .500 ball here on out do to watered down parity at our level.

If we had more stability on the lines I'd feel pretty good about this team's talent level. Just too much uncertainty there.

That’s something I’ve been thinking about, both lines. Should G5 teams develop a strategy that’s puts their limited resources into building and retaining both lines? My opinion, great line play can make average, skilled players into great skilled players. If I was a coach or AD I would have to give some serious thought into making linemen the core of my team.

True. The unfortunate thing is that everyone agrees which makes those position markets the most valuable in the portal.
