Yes I will always pull for the SOCON team when they are not playing us. Add to that I have no use for Nick Satin.

Announcers mention App State. Compare one of Western's receivers to B. Quick
Just would like to see Western get an at-large bid to the FCS playoffs, and see Alabama knocked out of the FBS playoffs.

Speir and his staff are doing good things in Cullowhee. Wish them the best.

Heard on the radio that the Catamounts were the first team this year to score on their first drive vs The Crimson Tide. Speir is doing something right.

Good friend and former App in Mark Spier. Great guy too. Will pull for Western football as long as they are not playing us. I always had a problem with those that didn't give respect to us when we were playing in The SoCon, and I will never be so hypocritical to not respect them now.

Does anyone ever hear from Trey Elder? Have we completely run him off from the Black & Gold. I see him with tweets about WCU and the Year of the Cat all the time, but never any congratulatory remarks to his Alma Mater.

I believe that Trey is head coach at Union or one of the other upstate SC high schools. Spoke with his younger brother , Blake who works at Spartanburg District 5 office a few weeks ago.BUTCH1991 wrote:Does anyone ever hear from Trey Elder? Yeah, he went to WCU with Speir and I know he left their to take over a high school program, just wonder his feelings towards App. I think he was one of the coaches we let go.MDaniels84 wrote:I believe that Trey is head coach at Union or one of the other upstate SC high schools. Trey is at Woodruff HS. Former SC QB Steve Taneyhill is the coach at Union County.

I don't think he was let go, rather he chose to leave with Coach Speir.BUTCH1991 wrote:Yeah, he went to WCU with Speir and I know he left their to take over a high school program, just wonder his feelings towards App. I think he was one of the coaches we let go.MDaniels84 wrote:I believe that Trey is head coach at Union or one of the other upstate SC high schools.
