Re: The U
As a result of the Miami loss, we have a ways to go to gain the media's recognition. No doubt beating UL and Coastal would go a long way towards that. That, however, is certainly not a given. We are more than capable of winning both but I still waiting to see us play to our talent level.

Re: The U
It is amazing how big an impact it makes on college football where your stadium is located. Just think where Appalachian's program would be if they had built a new football stadium at State Farm. Miami is trash because they tore down the Orange Bowl (Hard Rock Stadium 45 minutes from campus) and UMass has yet to make an impact because they play their home games 97 miles (1 hour, 55 minutes) from campus.

Re: The U
Miami has been unnecessarily hyped for over a decade. On the cover of the Alltime Upset issue of Sports Illustrated is the sub-headline “Miami’s Quiet Man: The Heroic Rise of Randy Shannon”. That was like 5 coaches ago for the U. They’re basically a .500 team since then.
Give 'em hell!

Re: The U
Hate it the ball didn't bounce our way in that game very much. Their convict looking punter kept us hemmed up pretty well. The tipped interception to start things off hurt too.
