Hell yes, and there would be more than conversations about it. Just how long do you think it would take some fundamentalist asshat to perpetrate a little terror on an Islamic university campus? They already assassinate doctors who perform abortions. What planet are you on?JCline0429 wrote:StumpyCulbreath wrote:God, please save us from the Christians.

I do chuckle at the irony of a future flood taking out the fields on the island............
The "Good Book" states something to the effect, "judge ye not so that ye may not be judged". I try to live by that, did I say try, everyone judges. Anyway, it's not up to me or anyone else to decide who does or does not go to "wherever." That's the Good Lord's job. Anyway, in the mean time just do the best you can (everyone sins), nobody's perfect. I truely believe you have to "screw up" pretty bad to go to the bad place. Live and let live, that what I say. That's all, continue on.Rekdiver wrote:Anybody that tells me I'm not going to heaven because I'm either an infidel or not born again I've got no use for. One is as bad as another. Ive seen more talk on here about how wrong Liberty's views are, than I have EVER seen from Liberty fans trying to tell anyone else how to live. Hell, Liberty cant even build a ball field without being jumped on.
So much for live and let live.

Those Muslims have it so great in this country. Everybody loves them and I'm sure the Sun Belt would go out of their way to accommodate an Islamic school. Nobody ever makes fun of Islam, they get a free pass. I don't know how you are able to pull yourself out of bed in the morning with all of the religious persecution you face in this country as a Christian.
I understood your post perfectly. Unfortunately, the word "Liberty" signifies an opportunity for political and religious pot-shots, no matter the context.JCline0429 wrote: Rep point That's what I meant by "hate" in another post and got flamed.
Notice the post above received two rep points. Somebody else must be having trouble pulling themselves out of bed.happyappy84 wrote:I always laugh when people make idiotic comments like this.JCline0429 wrote:StumpyCulbreath wrote:God, please save us from the Christians.

You clearly have not watched his HBO show. He spares no words when discussing Islam. He dislikes all religions, Islam being no exception.JCline0429 wrote:happyappy84 wrote:I always laugh when people make idiotic comments like this.JCline0429 wrote:StumpyCulbreath wrote:God, please save us from the Christians.

One word. Bill Maher. Bill Maher pokes fun at Christianity, but I've never heard him say one thing about Islam. Also all the towns and government entities who wan't allow manger scenes nor Ten Commandments. They may be within the law for not allowing it, but still.
Are you kidding? Theres like a 25 minute section of Religulous (a documentary for which he is most famous) poking fun at Islam.JCline0429 wrote:happyappy84 wrote:I always laugh when people make idiotic comments like this.JCline0429 wrote:StumpyCulbreath wrote:God, please save us from the Christians.

Well Hky starts a thread about Liberty every time Liberty twitches. Some people on here like myself don't give a rip about Falwell U, and take these opportunity to have some fun. If Liberty is the topic, some people are going to be defamatory. That's been the nature of the beast since the radical sect (Liberty) started expressing their views.GlassOnion wrote:Seems kind of embarrassing to me that every twitch LU makes spawns a freak out session on the MMB.

Allow me to apologize for "posting too often" about issues relating to athletics at Liberty. I did not realize that the 'other schools athletics' forum had a posting limit in regards to one particular school. Liberty is my other school of interest...that campus holds a special place in my heart, and the comings and going in Lynchburg will always be relevant to me. I realize that you, and many of the other members of what I would term the radical sect on the MMB may not have any interest in the actual details of what goes on at Liberty, as it pertains to athletics, construction, development, etc. That is certainly fine but some do, and we see those posts and I get a few messages here and there containing real conversation. Unfortunately, the actual topics usually get overwhelmed by the desire of some to be heard (I call that the "look at me, look at me" syndrome), folks who chime in when they have nothing to say about the actual topic at hand...you might know the type. I guess I was just raised differently. I was raised to stay out of discussions if you don't have anything on topic to contribute, rather than just talk for the sake of stirring up an argument, or to have someone to talk to, or to just plain be a donkey's butt. At the end of the day it's all cool though, gotta' get that post count up somehow!Gonzo wrote:Well Hky starts a thread about Liberty every time Liberty twitches. Not challenging your freedom to post any particular topic or policing the content of this forum. It just seems to me (and most people) that you're pimping Liberty. And a white, Protestant male playing the cultural victim card (not saying this is you) is going to stir up some snark no matter what the context...HkyMtneer wrote:Allow me to apologize for "posting too often" about issues relating to athletics at Liberty. If you can't handle negative feedback during you Liberty pimping, you shouldn't Liberty pimp. But by all means, continue.
"Liberty pimping"...sorry I don't have a clue what that mean, after all, at 32 years of age I am a bit mature for street lingo. If it means, using context clues, that I am passing information along about a school in a neighboring state, whose student population is derived more wholly from NC than any other state outside of VA...many of which are the sons and daughters and friends of our neighbors, a school of growing influence in every collegiate avenue, a school with aspirations on par and even exceeding those of our own ASU in many regards, a school that very well might be a athletic conference brethren at some point in the future, near or far, then yes, I am "Liberty pimping".Gonzo wrote:Not challenging your freedom to post any particular topic.
