Re: Peoples Hurt in Practice Today
From what I have seen over on Carolina huddle, it appears to be heat related.

Re: Peoples Hurt in Practice Today
Carolina depth chart, no mention of Peoples
RB: Depth at running back
"Miles Sanders is as good as advertised. He offers a lot in the passing game, which is an area that Chuba Hubbard still needs to make progress in. That said, both Hubbard and Raheem Blackshear showed the ability to hit the hole and go. Duce Staley has some options in that backfield. And yes, Blackshear is more than just a special teamer."

Re: Peoples Hurt in Practice Today
My understanding is that he is fifth. Not an ideal spot for a guy with limited ST experience.

Re: Peoples Hurt in Practice Today
The ones I have seen have him as 5th as well - if he gets some carries in pre-season and looks good he could end up on someone's practice squad.

as cool as it is for him to be with the panthers, its really not a good situation for him. coaches brought in sanders as their guy, hubbard has been on the team for a couple years and contributed even though he has bricks for hands. Blackshear has also had some time there and shown flashes. really hard to break in as a UDFA rookie in that situation

Re: Peoples Hurt in Practice Today
I feel pretty confident he will be cut barring major injuries to the depth chart. Getting cut might be the best thing so he can go ahead and get reps on a practice squad somewhere so coaches can actually see what he can do instead of rotting away with a handful of practice attempts in carolina. Give it a few weeks and RBs always start going down and teams will need new backups as they shift their depth charts.

I guess I can continue hating the Panthers since the AE days.appdaze wrote: ↑Thu Aug 10, 2023 3:32 pmI feel pretty confident he will be cut barring major injuries to the depth chart. He needs to make an impression in pre-season games if and when he gets some carries .If not he's done.

Re: Peoples Hurt in Practice Today
The writing was on the wall. Healthy scratches aren’t a good look at all. Really hard to make it as a one dimensional RB out of a G5

Re: Peoples Hurt in Practice Today
I believe I saw where one of the RBs ahead of him was hurt and wouldn't play on Sat

Good for Cam. Glade to see that kind of relationship with the school and the program is intact.

Re: Peoples Hurt in Practice Today
Saw him a couple times when I was going in and out of the NEB. Still weird seeing an RB that is almost even with me in height.

Re: Peoples Hurt in Practice Today
Glad to have him back as with any alumni. Teammates like him and he is really a nice guy. Just wish he put the same energy in blocking, receiving, etc that he does with stuff like this. I just hope he does not hit 30 years old and have major regrets about how he handled his senior year, his draft strategy, and his time at Panthers camp.
