I thought about that. He would be an ideal signing for them. I think Martin probably has another 2-3 years left in him.

I noticed he was scratched before their preseason game last week I believe. Saying it was an injury during warm ups. Now wonder if it was an injury or just the battle starting between him and the team. Still seems to be doing well punting.

He rolled his ankle before the Broncos second preseason game. But punted well in the 3rd game. He actually set the NET punting record for the Broncos last year. He won't be unemployed long.

What a sweet gig. Maybe 1-2 punts a game.

bigdaddy, but those two punts must be perfect or else he's the dog of the game and fans and coaches won't forget it.

Hence the Panthers kicker? I'm just saying being the punter on a Super Bowl favorite, especially one that doesn't punt much is a great job. Heckker (sp) got his ring and now a nice check from the Panthers every week although he has to work more.

That's 13 years total. Does that make him the longest tenured NFL player we've had?

Last season I looked up his stats and did what I thought was the correct math. Martin has made about $26k per punt. These guys are easily and quickly replaced so a 10+ year career is awesome. If he's smart he's banking some nice money.

Yeah just making sure I could count the seasons correctly. Being back in school has fried my brain.
