Re: VIRGIL
I wonder what went wrong with him at App? I don't know but we are seeing the potential there. He entered his senior year as a possible late round pick and ended up being skipped over by all the major all-star games and then being snubbed on draft day. He is now showing he should have been a lethal weapon for us.

Re: VIRGIL
Hmmm, we had 3 WRs that were great college players in their own right. Congrats to Virgil.

Re: VIRGIL
It is a perfect example of wasted talent by our staff. I know we had some good receivers, but his ability was underutilized by us. Much like we have done with Cam this year.

Re: VIRGIL
Did he block as expected while at App? When we had our run game clicking wasn't blocking by receivers a huge expectation? Seems like that was mentioned on many occasions over the last few years. When we were winning consistently nobody said a word about him not getting more chances- only now that he made a pro team.

Re: VIRGIL
Virg never seemed fully healthy, his hips are stiff and his ball skills weren't up there with Sutt/Henni/Malik. His down hill speed made up for a lot of things and he was a great teammate by all accounts. NFL will maximize on your best asset, and Virgs can't be taught- raw speed.

Re: VIRGIL
Cam has been injury prone it seems. Hard to depend on a player who constantly fights injuries.

Re: VIRGIL
There are some poor takes here. Virgil was the tallest and fastest, but as far as route runners Sutton and Henne were better and Malik played a different WR position.
The real “issue” was the WR room was STACKED.
