Re: RIP Duck Pond Field
Technically, that is RIP Upper Duck Pond Field. Lower Duck Pond Field went away when the Trivette was built spring of '90.

Re: 2019 would you rather
When Appalachian and Georgia Southern play each other for a National Championship in the college football playoffs we will know that we have arrived at where we really want to be on the national stage in college football. Until then all we can do is prepare, prepare, prepare, prepare...

If we were to go to a NY6 I do not want to just go; I want to win and win BIG!

Re: 2019 would you rather
Any thing less than zero losses this season and post season would be a disappointment, considering our expectations with this staff and this team. Back in '07 anything less than winning the FCS Championship would have been a disappointment after beating Michigan. We lost a couple games in 2007, if ...

Re: Lance Ware to ASU
Having someone like Coach Ware will help in not breaking what is not broken with Appalachian Football. I hope that having Lance Ware in the position he is in will act as a safety net when Drinkwitz leaves. I expect that he will take his quarterback with him just like he did at Boise State.

Re: Gordon's Fisherman Logo and App-Ah-Lay-Chun
The block A has class. I like that in a logo. Some team's helmet decals are distracting. The A for Appalachian is iconic. You know who you are playing. I will hold my breath and hope it is the block A on Appalachian's helmets this fall. It was hard enough to get used to the black block A after looki...

Re: Gordon's Fisherman Logo and App-Ah-Lay-Chun
Question: If Appalachian had been built in West Jefferson, would we be the Jeffersonians instead?

The Real Mountain Dew will impair your ability to operate heavy machinery and lead you to make decisions that you would not otherwise make were you not consuming.

Re: Dear Coach Drinkwitz
I would rather see Coach Drinkwitz drink regular Mountain Dew or better yet Cheerwine or Dr. Pepper. Diet drinks can cause you to gain weight.

Re: Gordon's Fisherman Logo and App-Ah-Lay-Chun
The way we pronounce it is actually the forth most used pronunciation. I read that in the Random House Second Edition Unabridged Dictionary Circa 1987.

Re: Special helmet logo?
I wish we could buy the helmet decals in the bookstore so I could put them on my motorcycle helmet. I have been able to do that with the University of Wyoming Steamboat logo, that is the name of the bucking horse.

Maybe it will keep assistant coaches from leaving; maybe it will help keep our head coach here too.
