Re: Scott Gone
In 2013, if we were offered a chance to go 35-6 in our first 5 years in the Sun Belt, win 3 bowls and win 3 SB Conference championships, but we could only have Satt for 6 years, we would have all taken that. We have achieved so much more than anyone could have imagined since we joined the SB. As lo...

Re: Scott Gone
The SBC is not a very good league so I don't think what we have done is more than expected. Had Scott only won 6-7 games a year in the SBC I would have been wanting him to go after year 3. The expectation every year is seriously 9 wins or more and, honestly, if it is less than 10 or 11 (losses only...

Re: Scott Gone
I think Satt is a great coach but he has yet to win the “BIG” game at App. Almost beat Tenn, almost beat WF and yet again almost beat Penn St. He should be able to recruit extremely well at Louisville. If DG makes the right hire, the new guy will inherit a team ready to repeat as SunBelt champions ...

Re: Next Man Up...
Well I don't have any specific names in mind other than Horton, but here lies the problem with hiring the next guy. Satt left the cupboard pretty stocked for a two year run. You have to be careful that you don't hire someone that will benefit from the cupboard, reel off two 10 win seasons and then ...

Re: Assistants?
Love Scott but I am more worried about assistants. Same here. I am okay with losing Scott if we keep everyone else for sure. People don't realize how good the strength coach, recruiting coordinator, and some of our other assistants have been. I do expect a few to stay but we will lose some to Louis...

Re: Scott Gone
Something seemed to push him out. I thought he would have held out for a better program. I worry about the immediate future now (next couple year slump). Slump? No he wants as much money as he can make and he had no loyalty here. You need to read up on Jimmy Sexton. Sexton is money hungry and I gua...

My hope as well. I do know for a fact there are coaches these guys have in mind that if hired they would stay for.

Re: Bowl Game Coach?
I know it probably my won’t happen, but I would love for Satt to coach it. One last go-round for our favorite son. I’m a glass half full person and would imagine the boys would dig extra deep to send out coach on a high note. Even with louisville on the horizon I still believe he would give his all...

Re: Scott Gone
I’ve said it before. There is just something special up on the mountain and I just don’t think it will go to Louisville- no offense to Satt. I really felt it standing on that field Saturday as I was getting covered in confetti. After we win the bowl game most of us realists will see that while we a...

Re: Scott Gone
Won't believe it until some credible sources come out, like Ethan Joyce or someone else. Most up on the mountain felt this was happening for sure since last Wednesday. It is going to be an official done deal tomorrow. DG is not going to scramble because he has supposedly had a plan in place for a w...

Re: Scott Gone
I have to eat a little crow on the pay, thought it would be more. If what you guys are saying, that's bottom of ACC, his agent does suck for going to a dumpster fire for that little, but it was up to him. Thought he'd get closer to $3M. Hope he doesn't pull a Sparky, and strip our roster. Sparky di...
