Re: EXPANDING STADIUM TO 40k CAPACITY
Is it surprising that at some point someone would look at expenses VS income? I think a 100 yard facility would be great but we just keep spending money we don't have. Does anyone know how much debt we are carrying at this point on athletics facilities?

Re: Where are we at as Appalachian football?
Historically, App has done quite well with its transfers or maybe they are the only ones we hear about like Daniel Jeremiah; he transferred from what is now ULM. I agree but I also think that the future and pre portal are going to be different. In the past when i guy hd to sit out a year he put a l...

Re: we got a QB transfer from Texas
I used to coach a good bit of baseball when my boys played. Had some guys who would tout a kid as really good as he threw hard in the batting center. I would always say let's see how he does when people are watching and there is a batter in the box. Some still do ok some butt pucker and melt- and t...

Re: Sun Belt coaching carousel
Found this interesting. A local business had been using a college BB player to do comercials about a year ago. He has been replaced by a past spokesperson and a retired pro football player. Not seeing any " NIL" around here, not that I watch everything.

Re: we got a QB transfer from Texas
He was a prefered walk on at Texas. He's listed as a signee for Texas on 247, and shows offers from Texas, Arkansas, Iowa State, NC State, Louisiana, UNT, Texas State, and UTSA. PWO's don't show as signees. My bad, I read too fast and missread the following It’s also worth noting that Chip Brown of...

Hope it ends up on 2 I don't get U
I will admit I have watched about as many APP games this year as I have in the last 30 years combined. I have really enjoyed it.

So the 2025 Home schedule: NC State EKU Toledo Coastal, Marshall, Southern and 1 of (Ark St, Monroe, or Texas St) Away: Charlotte in BoA, JMU, Georgia St, ODU and either (Troy, Southern Miss or Ark St) That Toledo game should be fun. Re: Keep Joey 2024 - NIL
NIL is "technically" not pay to play, at least that wasn't the intent. We all know the reality based on the horrible was it was rolled out with no governance. You are correct when it comes to "technically" the definition of NIL. My belief is that it was "actually" intended to leagalize and expand p...

Re: Keep Joey 2024 - NIL
NIL will turn college athletics into even more of the have’s and have not’s. Afraid we will fall into the second bucket and will be raided every offseason. Yes we can pick up transfers but only what well funded NIL programs don’t want. I doubt we have many fans willing to send hard earned money to ...

Seriously folks. What is the obsession with this young man. He made a decision and it is nobodys business what led him to that decision. Why the hell can't you leave it alone. It is actually getting creepy that folks are so into this kids business.

The upcoming season might just be the litmus. It is definitely the litmus test. Shawn is doing some really good things but the expectation is higher with Joey and the stars coming back plus it looks like we will return both coordinators. Everts still wants him gone so there is some pressure but we ...

Re: Bowl Season
I vividly remember a few on this board a few years ago stating how much they supported NIL and that the athletes deserve to get paid because they are so mistreated by the schools making so much money. Well how do you like it now? I never had a problem paying a star if he's representing a corporatio...
