Re: Opening day in Hickory
At least it didn’t have some cooked up story about touching the bell before exams! The brothers could have had a bell for communication to students. The furniture factories in the town I grew up near had loud whistles to start the day, beginning and end break, lunch and quitting time.

Re: New college and departmental logos
So we're going to feature a bell that has a fake story attached to it? Looks like. A bell that no one remembers, no one touched it before exams and don’t even know where it is now. And I’m sure the design School could have done better. Oh well, since we can’t seem to maintain tradition we’ll just m...

War damn Yosef. Hook’em Appy’s. Might as well use GATA too. Is there a worse slogan than this to brand your athletic teams? They display it prominently on their football pants and many other places. To me it is a huge embarrassment. I could say alot more but will leave it at that? Typical GS stuff....

Pretty good. I might exchange ECU for Charlotte. I’d just as soon not even consider Charlotte. Agree plus I'd add Marshall. Honestly, I live in the Triangle area and have never met anyone in person that claims to be a UNCC fan. Not kidding. They just aren't on my radar at all. I’m in the triangle a...

Re: Any news on stadium expansion?
My knees are almost in the folks n front of me now. Maybe the thought is seat backs would reduce leg room even more.
Our seats are on the aisle 112 row T. Butt room is not as much an issue as in and out traffic! It’s constant. But I like the aisle seats.

Any suggestions for the Raleigh area (Apex, Cary, Holly Springs) Yeah, drive west toward Lexington. Ain't nothing good on that side of the state. Wilbur’s in Goldsboro is the Gold Standard for barbecue. I’ve been there. I respectfully disagree. Last time I went to Wilbur's, it wasn't hitt...

Any suggestions for the Raleigh area (Apex, Cary, Holly Springs) Before Johnson’s Family BBQ closed on Hwy98 in Durham it was the best around. I hear BBQ lab at North Hills is good. They started in Dunn NC. Also hear EXPENSIVE. It’s hard to trust BBQ reviews as I have found a lot of folks just don’...

I grew up a Duke fan. Yes I have a sorted past. Long before K. When Lefty would bring Davidson in there and give ‘‘em fits. After my infusion of black and gold (not yeller) I watched ASU in Cameron in my App gear. If K had asked me for a photo shoot I would have been like a possum all the way. A fri...

I made more money than the Duke MBA and The Harvard undergrad/Law grad while working at BofA in my area with a BS in Social Studies. Clearly how hard the work is is not a guarantee of success…..(with a wink) I think the social interaction at Antlers and The Library Club was better preparation for m...

Re: Possible transfer situations
Well it’s a hot topic. Folks are hot for a resolution and burning to know some answers. Everyone knows Appalachian is a hot bed for football and a coaching hot spot. So naturally the heat gets turned up when it seems the hot iron is cooling off. I’ve been to lots of games in KBS wishing I had a “hot...
