Re: NIT

We're also the second biggest underdogs based on betting lines at +8.5. Only Cornell / Ohio State are higher at 10.5. https://sportsbook.fanduel.com/navigation/ncaab?tab=nit I just had to go throw a little on us it was +7.5 on DraftKings. Sucker, I got us +8 🤣 If we win it won't matter. Lol, I'm wa...

Re: NIT

Had seven teams not declined, we probably not in. That plus 31-3 JMU 12 seed. Several years ago the SEC had a plan to be more competitive in basketball. I wonder if the Belt can't do something similar.

Re: NIT

31- 3 gets JMU a 12 seed. That seems like the kind of BS that isn't good for us.

Re: NIT

The Princeton loss hurts. The Ivy may not participate in the NIT. They’re funny when it comes to postseason. Princeton was in the NIT in 2022 so the Ivy League definitely allows it. They actually won the NIT back in 1975. Well, damn. Hope it won’t hurt us. I don't think so. People who are pretty co...

Re: NIT

Maybe if enough big conference teams decline and NIT invitation, they will go back to making sure regular season champions get an automatic bid.

Re: EXPANDING STADIUM TO 40k CAPACITY

It seems that any construction at KBS will happen after the 105 project (which is behind schedule and over budget) and the IPF (which seems to have its own funding issues) are completed. And of course all of these should be behind keeping Kearns (which should be our top priority).

Re: EXPANDING STADIUM TO 40k CAPACITY

On the bright side, we have plenty of time to develop a plan for the stadium.

This is so silly given how poorly the Yosef Club is. Seriously, how many $1000+ does YC have?
I agree. I think these entities should be using their efforts to grow the Yosef Club so we can enhance the experience for all athletes.
And if it ever came to it we'd get "out bid".

Does saying you can't be on the bubble for the NCAA and the NIT count as speculation?

With our NET down to 74, we are hardly a lock for the NIT.

Re: NIT

I definitely agree we should be in. I also think we should get a pretty good seed (hosting a game). But as I understand the new NIT structure, there are only 20 available spots.

Re: NIT

Our NET is 72. Roughly the top 68 teams (or is it more now?) make the big dance. If the next best 32 teams make the NIT, seems like we should be in. I know regular season champs are guaranteed , but it’s good for our resume along with being 3-0 vs teams in the big tournament. Not anymore. That is t...

Personally, I think ATL is best option..so many flight options. You do not have to play in Hawks arena or ga state. There are other arenas in that city Need to make it easy as possible for flights. Not sure Gville has as many. I checked on flights from BWI to Pensacola in case I flew down for final...

If it could actually be worked out, Chattanooga is probably a fair opinion. Charlotte or Greensboro are just to far East for half the conference.
