Interesting to see Missouri at 78, but I suppose being in the SEC West is a big factor.
I wonder how that will impact their rankings this season? Definitely can't help.

Re: G5 Poll
It would be quite difficult to prove collusion, especially given that the entity controlling it all (ESPN) perpetually stacks the deck in favor of the SEC/B10 because it aligns with their objectives (increasing ad revenue). The Mothership doesn't have to collude with anyone in this. So maybe the leg...

Landing Donald is nothing short of a coup for App. Ratchets up the competition at NT, builds depth and gets this young man closer to home. And poaching him from a conference foe doesn't feel too bad, either.

Re: NC lawmakers to force UNC, NC State to play in-state schools
I think if laws like this get passed across the nation, it will just be an added catalyst to push athletics to separate from schools and be their own entity of semi-pro/minor league sports that just use the name and likeness of the schools for their teams. I still think the split from the academic ...

Re: NC lawmakers to force UNC, NC State to play in-state schools
Let's be real...This bill is the legislatures concession to allow NCSU and UNC to go to the SEC and BIG10. If we see it pass without much trouble it means the moves are a done deal and we'll see it happen before SMU, Cal & Stanford are official ACC members so they can't vote against it. This is goo...

Re: Another Portal Loss and Portal Discussion
It's not as cold up there as it used to be. Speaking for those of us who still spend extended periods of time up there during the winter, I'll respectfully disagree. Not to mention how winter goes on and on and on...much like it does in the northern US. I've lived in Boone full time for over thirty...

It baffles me how someone can choose to get angry because media outlets actually did the right thing and respected the family's wishes for privacy. What a miserable human being.

It's probably because they're allowed to smoke cigarettes on the bench over there.BambooRdApp wrote: ↑Wed May 01, 2024 10:49 amOn the men's side, European players are much more fundamentally sound in the game of bball

Dabo needs a big win over App to quiet down the boosters. He's still recovering from the puppet show he put on in front of the media last season.

What great news! I'm glad to see how a super successful MBB season is being parlayed into higher levels of interest for many of App's athletic programs...and athletes!

Can't we just blame it on bad actors from Russia? Or big pharma? Or the military-industrial complex?

This is a good move for App. Speaking for myself, having Wiles as QB2 this season will prevent me from going into A-fib every time Joey takes a big hit or tucks the ball and runs.

Thanks, 94. While the TP gives athletes an opportunity to switch schools as they see fit, it has also radically impacted the way coaches manage talent.

Re: Portal season (Abson, Spillers, etc)
Where Marsh was concerned, the "bad thing" was also the "good thing." It was bad because Marsh tended to be a ball hog and didn't adhere to DK's game plans, both of which irritate coaches and teammates. But it was good because he showed the opponent a look they weren't expecting, which led to scorin...

Re: Two minute warning, helmet comm approved
Is it just me, or is it tragic that a sign-stealing scandal involving a major P5 program had to happen before FBS programs were permitted to utilize in-helmet comms?
