Re: MBB: App vs C Michigan, 11/3 at 7pm EST, Mount Pleasant, MI. ESPN+

Reminder: we lost to 11-20 NIU in our opening D1 game with the best team we've ever had in 2023. We then lost to 13-19 Oregon State. And that App team had way less transfers. I don't know if we'll be good, but this one game means virtually nothing.

Better receivers probably make it easier being quarterback. Dropped balls can make a quarterback and a team look pretty bad.
He does have some good receivers, but UT was #2 in the nation in dropped passes as of last week.

Yeah, we often have an FCS game for homecoming. Probably helps ticket sales for the less desirable games

We honestly need to consider FCS. I say this with great displeasure.
That might be the dumbest $hit I've heard in my life. Congratulations!

Re: Game Notes vs Charlotte and game discussion

Just saw this quote from DLo in the CLT Observer…. This is what we’ve been missing. If this is how the program is going to be run now, we’re in good hands. “We’ve got to put people away. We let them hang in the game way too long. At one point they cut it to a two-score game, and it shouldn’t have b...

Re: Dowell Loggains SI Article

I’ve asked many times about what I would perceive as locker room envy. Some have agreed it must exist and some dismiss the notion. You see those pro guys who sometimes make the public statements about their teammates “getting the bag”. Human nature and competitiveness exists. There is no way in hel...

Re: Sun Belt presidents to vote Monday on Louisiana Tech

There were definitely some people complaining about bringing in FCS schools (maybe not to the extent of saying it would kill the conference). Remember, successful transitions were the exception, not the norm before we, GS, Coastal, Liberty, JMU, etc showed that successful FCS programs become success...

Re: Sun Belt presidents to vote Monday on Louisiana Tech

I don't agree with the guy in the video for two reasons: 1. He acts like the east doesn't care about regional rivalries which isn't true. You can value teams that bring in more money / notariety AND still focus on regional rivalries (Marshall and JMU). It's not wrong to want both. 2. He thinks the s...

5250 in the portal. NCAA screwed up bigtime.

That’s 160 teams worth at 33 players a team. Absurd.
I wonder how that number compares to the number of players that are on a team and not transferring.

Re: 2025 Baseball Mega Thread

In football and basketball, the conference payout is high enough to pull for all conference teams. I doubt it's high enough in baseball to pull for Coastal :D

Troy and ULL, but short-lived. CCU and USM are playing at a different level right now.
I think Louisiana beating Coastal in the final would be best for the conference
