We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Re: 2025 Baseball Mega Thread

If I read stats correctly. Over 5 era in 2025. Under 4 era in 2024. Not sure if the changes in staff compliment. Were they a younger group? Did they have a few studs last year that went the way if nil. I know EasyU did not have a typical EasyU year. If they had not won conference tournament, I do no...

Re: Preseason Projections

A ranking in a preseason article has zero impact on DLo and what he wants to do and how he wants to do it. Like most coaches, DLo probably does not even know this article exists. If he does, it is do to one or the other coaches having some fun with him in a joking manner about the article...

Re: Private Equity in College Athletics

What does the business school have to do with colleges and NIL.? A good business school at a college should help the college or university avoid the pitfalls of bad business moves in theory. The same is true of having a good planning department at a university, instead of just building things here ...

Re: NIL and future of NCAACF

Anyway you can go back to Gillen’s 12/19/24 App St. Aporoach to changes in college sports… he lays it out in detail. The $330k “payment” is actually a reduction in future payments made from the NCAA to Apps for 10 yrs. It is essentially less for our budget than they planned for and will have to be ...

Re: Preseason Projections

These preseason rankings mean absolutely zero to me. We have a new coach and many new players. It's like a box of chocolates...you never know what you are gonna get. I am excited about the new coaching staff. Will it take time for everyone to learn new coach expectations, systems, tweaks? You betcha...

Re: Preseason Projections

The length of the leash was game 2 in Drink’s one and only season. People wanted Roof fired after the Charlotte game. It worked out OK. DLo and his staff deserve support. Both in the peaks and valleys. Slightly different season in 2018 vs 2024. Giving up 50 pts at home to a team that only scored 9 ...

Although I do see value of PE in rollups and consolidation in a commercial industry. Not sure I want to see it in this setting.

Re: Preseason Projections

Nobody knows anything about this team at this point. Heck, we don't even know who are going to be our starters. On paper, we picked up a lot of good talent but that talent was very thin on experience so nobody really has any basis to judge at this point. I hope we don't finish 5-7 but honestly I ha...

Re: NIL and future of NCAACF

While true that athletes don’t have time for a normal job, social media has created opportunities that require minimal effort compared to a part time job that requires one to show up somewhere. That is true. However, they are not getting paid for the time spent playing football is the their basic a...

Re: NIL and future of NCAACF

The " side gig" for the student athlete is the sport they play for the University. Many are putting in more hours than a student with a "side gig". We can debate whether they should get paid or not ...or whether the scholarship should be the only payment. My point is that the amount of time that st...

Re: 2025 Football Schedule updates

Didn't really expect this. https://twitter.com/appstatesports/status/1929902145609851091 Not surprised at all. There is great demand for our product despite having a subpar season last year, NIL, transfer portal, etc. I know we hear a lot of grumbling about people not donating and giving up tickets...
