Re: 10 Schools that belong in the SEC
The Big 12 is less of a conference and more of an orphanage for teams no one wants hahahaha......this was one of the funniest lines I've heard in a long time.

Re: House of Reps bill on NCAA issues
I suppose making them an employee opens up the world of workers compensation and other benefits. That would be interesting. Worker's comp/benefits is exactly how and why the NCAA invented the "student-athlete" concept...a couple of cases from the 1950s....Univ of Denver vs Nemeth, from 1953...Nemet...

Anyone have pics or links of the original renderings? I know they'll change but it's been a while and I want to glance at them again. I go back and forth on this...good points on both sides. The changing landscape of CFB could make this unwise to do now, or just the opposite, better do it now in ord...

Re: Does culture matter anymore?
Every school in the country is dealing with the same exact issues as us as far as the portal and NIL. Of course we can't compete money wise with the P4...never could. Our peers are G5; and we can succeed and win vs our peers in the portal/NIL era. Other than Boise who has been the gold standard of G...

Wow. I don't often feel shock but this is truly a shock....got the text from my friend...1st thing this morning. So young; 1 yr older than me. Thought from the recent messages he was improving. Just very sad news....just, sad. Feel for his family. I'm sure App will honor him next home game, as they ...

Re: The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly
I don't have really anything in the "bad" or "ugly" categories....offense was sluggish at first, but they picked it up. Targeting calls...I couldn't see one of them...refs love calling targeting, so whatever. Of course, get IN the endzone before celebrating; teachable moment I have tons of GOOD - te...

Hulu (with live TV option), add the Disney bundle which includes ESPN+ You can pause or cancel subscription any time you want; I pause mine every summer and save 3 months of cost. - as an FYI, idk if this applies, but if you're into rewards credit cards there are some that offer 5 or 6% rewards for ...

Re: Two more?
Important they get this right. If they can add 2 more good brands, like an ECU for example (have no idea who'd be candidates, just using them as an example), that have a great fanbase and football culture, then this would strengthen the conference/brand and create more good matchups weekly, as has h...

Re: NCSU in Boone 2028
2028 could really good timing for this game for us. If Loggains is what we want and hope, we could be back at our previous baseline, peaking at SB Conf championship level....and if Doren continues to fizzle out, State will be in year 1 or 2 of a rebuild, or if he's still be there, and they'll be his...

Re: Catalyst for the Split from the NCAA Incoming
The NCAA is a worthless organization. The only two things they are really good at are inequitable rule enforcement and wasting money. They basically have no true authority as a governing body and need to go away. Reporting fake good grades in nonexistent classes = totally fine Reporting lesser real...

https://sports.yahoo.com/doc-power-conferences-seeking-more-control-over-ncaa-championships-governance-232802449.html Two options: - agree to let the P4 railroad all decisions going forward (which they do now indirectly) - vote against this which will speed up the split from the NCAA Sounds like it...

We don't play Furman and I still hate them. I hate most teams in purple....EasyU, JMU, Furman.... Just to make sure WCU is included. Damn, that was like a career ending move on my part... fandom ending move... I will chalk it up to Made Men quote ..I do not think about you at all....😂 You being wcu...

Grow to like and get to watch....at least for a season. I saw an interview with Deon Sanders and he said that Colorado didn't recruit players to develop. He said if we recruit you out of high school we expect you to come play immediately. He said with nil and the portal you have to recruit people t...

Re: Miami Hurricanes MBB Coach, Jim Larranaga stepping down
The bowl games are getting worse and the parity of CFB will suffer. The viewership of P2 games will increase to NFL lite numbers. CFB at that level will thrive. The less favorable golden rule is playing out brilliantly for those programs. Agree with you re this being good for the elites...the top 4...

Re: Miami Hurricanes MBB Coach, Jim Larranaga stepping down
Fans aren't going anywhere. I know this is about a CBB coach, but it's been mostly applied to CFB, so I use the articles here referencing CFB, which has never been more popular. And NIL in CBB has improved the sports by influencing players to stay longer....before NIL what did people gripe about? 1 ...
