Re: Sunbelt Expansion... additions?
No defender of Chadwell and Coastal, but there does seem to be a certain envy/hostility among App fans towards them. I think some of it has to do with their becoming the darling of college football and our simultaneous fall from relevance in the eyes of the media. I think the latter was confirmed l...

Re: Miami game thread
Twitter is the modern equivalent of the writing on the bathroom walls in the 80's. Basically, it's something to pass the time while you take a dump. Bingo. I know people like Ethan Joyce is a great follow for all your app news but overall I feel Twitter is a cancer to society, much like Facebook.

Re: Miami game thread
In a preseason thread, I had posted that I thought if we could eliminate the mental mistakes and penalties that cost us in all 3 losses last year, we would be able to make some noise this year. Well 2 bad snaps and a few dropped passes on that last drive did us in again. Very similar to the coastal ...

Re: What's next for stadium projects?
Seems they added a play clock and what looks to be the outline of a small scoreboard on the NEZ. Dang. I was hoping for a full ribbon board. It may be a ribbon board as they continue to add more mounting brackets to the front of the NEZ seating areas this morning. Yuppp I definitely spoke too soon ...

Worth a read https://www.si.com/college/2021/09/08/big-12-expansion-aac-mike-aresco-reaction Dose of reality not even being mentioned as a possible candidate but the one hit wonders and Char are. Thanks to all those huge App fans out there who can’t manage to throw a few bucks Yosef's way. You don'...

Seeing the photos from Luke Combs last night at the rock…wow it looked amazing, 40k in attendance I think. Really nice to see the the finished look after a couple years of construction.

Re: BOA game attendance?
Official attendance was 36,752 according to multiple news sources so it sounds like only about 1,500 more than the Wake Forest game drew in Boone in 2017. In my opinion this should go on ASU's list of largest home game attendance but only with a big asterisk since it was a "home" game in name only....

Re: USA TODAY Sports AFCA Coaches Poll - App #48
Sometimes it takes being out of the spotlight to realize how much you want back in. And the guys have a great chance the first 2 weeks to prove that. Week 1 to knock off an in state recruiting opponent. Week 2 to take aim at a (most likely) beat up team from their date with Alabama the week before.

Re: How does ECU look?
East Carolina's football team has been tabbed in the eighth spot in the preseason American Athletic Conference media poll, as announced by the league on Wednesday at the conference's media days. The Pirates and Navy were tied for eighth with 85 points apiece. Temple was slotted 10th, and USF last a...

Good to hear we sold out of our allotment. Looking at Ticketmaster right now, the only regular tickets (non resale) available are in the corners of the bottom section. Vast majority are resale everywhere else. Just a handful still available up top

Re: Oklahoma and Texas to SEC???
And just like that, Conference realignment is back and it’s changing the landscape drastically this time. 4 super conferences in the SEC, ACC, Big 10 and Pac12. The big 12 gets poached. The 4 form their own playoff system where conference championships become de facto first round playoff games. Rema...
