We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Re: Private Equity in College Athletics

I hate PE with a passion. It’s all about increasing value and then reselling for a profit. They are successful at that many times, but it is the customers and employees that get shafted in the process. Bringing PE into the fold would totally eliminate the college aspect of college sports. I agree wi...

Re: Preseason Projections

Certain aspects of the program, including defensive talent, may not be rectifiable in one off season. It was left in dire straits with no clear vision or future.

Re: Preseason Projections

The length of the leash was game 2 in Drink’s one and only season. People wanted Roof fired after the Charlotte game. It worked out OK. DLo and his staff deserve support. Both in the peaks and valleys. Slightly different season in 2018 vs 2024. Giving up 50 pts at home to a team that only scored 9 ...

It won’t take long for supporters break out the pitchforks.
If we miss 2 bowl games in the next 3 seasons again, many including myself will be calling for changes again.

Re: Preseason Projections

Agree that we don’t know what we have. Outside of the Swann kid, most of these guys haven’t seen the field at their previous school(s) to know if they are any good. And Swann isn’t a guaranteed QB1 for us. As such, I don’t know that its accurate to say that the talent looks good on paper. Wiles wil...

Re: Preseason Projections

7-5 minimum. 8-4 is my prediction. 10-2 ceiling depending on how the defense and OL struggles from recent seasons transform.

Re: Preseason Projections

So we are going to lose more games this year than we did last year, that does not seem right. We likely would have been 5-7 anyways. Chadwells Liberty team would have ran all over Sloan & Co. You mean Cheatwell would have run all over Coach Spit's team, almost glad we didn't play that one. True. Th...

Re: Preseason Projections

Nobody knows anything about this team at this point. Heck, we don't even know who are going to be our starters. On paper, we picked up a lot of good talent but that talent was very thin on experience so nobody really has any basis to judge at this point. I hope we don't finish 5-7 but honestly I ha...

We’ve got a crowded room for sure.

Swann
Kohl
Gillon
Wiles
Weddington PWO
Wilson
Swap PWO and Wilson, and I would consider this the current depth chart. Gillon has been impressive.

Re: 2025 Football Schedule updates

Not surprised at all. There is great demand for our product despite having a subpar season last year, NIL, transfer portal, etc. I know we hear a lot of grumbling about people not donating and giving up tickets, but that stuff like that always happens when there is substantial change. Most times, t...

Re: FB Play By Play 2025

If we are looking for an all-new combo, I would suggest Noah Hannon on color if he was interested. Didn’t he do some fill-in duties at once?

Also if Matt gets PxP and Brandon Turner does not return to color do you think they ask David Ware who has done away game sidelines to elevate up to color? Just a thought
Everyone would turn off their radio at that point. David loves to hear himself speak too much.

Re: 2025 Baseball Mega Thread

Decisions had been made for awhile and shared among teammates on the way home from Montgomery. A lot going on within the program . I’ve heard nothing positive. Yeah I was on 247 and asked if he could speak to the state of the program. I got a diatribe of the "positives". I knew right there nothing ...

A bit envious of the “small time programs” that are able to go toe to toe with the big boys. Despite all of their disadvantages. I’m rethinking the state of our program. If they can do it ….
Our fanbase is too obsessed with the good guy, mediocre coach mantra.
