We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Re: NIL and future of NCAACF

So my original question still hasn’t gotten a direct answer but it looks like the answer is no, sports at App do not generate a profit. And thus there is no money to pay players. So at least at Apps level the whole players are being taken advantage of argument is a fallacy.

Re: NIL and future of NCAACF

This question has been asked numerous times but I don’t think I’ve ever seen an answer. Where is the money going to come from for App. to pay athletes? Does App. actually generate a profit from sports programs ?

Re: Doeren Scared of App State?

What sux to me is that he sees “no value” in playing an in state team that can compete. When do the people of NC start to matter in this equation? Every time we play an in state FBS team the people of NC prove, with their presence, that the game has value to them. The actual people who foot the bill...

Re: NIL and future of NCAACF

It’s revenue sharing , schools paying players now . NIL , with the exception of some national market super stars and a few big regional big markets, isn’t where the money comes from to pay these ummm student athletes. I really don’t think NIL will be the thing that kills G5 football. Yes G5 program...

Re: NIL and future of NCAACF

We should never underestimate the importance of chemistry in team sports. The lack of personnel continuity from season to season and shifting player attitudes related to financial gain will make it even more challenging to sustain team chemistry on/off the field over time. And there is a strong cor...

Re: NIL and future of NCAACF

I see one of two things happening. Either it’s rebuild every year with very little player development or something is done to limit the transfer portal. The current portal situation will be a wrecking ball to any and all top tier G5 teams.

It seems that App is going for broke this season. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Go_for_Br ... 51_film%29
Under the current situation, transfer portal, I think you have to go for broke every season. I don’t really see a way to build a team that will last for more than one season.

Trying not to make this a political statement as I favor neither, but I fear any action by this administration. This administration seems to favor a handgrenade over a firecracker. What we really need is for college presidents to grow a pair.
Their pair has been purchased.

The “jump man” brand seems kind of tied to the Tarholes to me. I do however like Jordan himself, but in general not a fan of Nike.

Re: Gillin said we're gonna play Western in football soon

Before we all get too cocky let’s remember that WCU gave NCSU a pretty good game last year. And also that an in state ACC played them. We are 1 and 3 over the last few years against ACC teams. And boy was the last one something I want to forget.

Re: Other teams coaches

If we had more stability on the lines I'd feel pretty good about this team's talent level. Just too much uncertainty there. That’s something I’ve been thinking about, both lines. Should G5 teams develop a strategy that’s puts their limited resources into building and retaining both lines? My opinio...

So it sounds like most of you so far think a coach can still build a team over several years.i sure hope so.

Re: Tax Free NIL

Yeah, this should go over real well. Work-a-day Joe and Jill pay taxes and an 18 year old who can play ball doesn’t. Like I alluded to earlier, I would bring a picture of myself to my boss and ask him our her to put it in the company lobby and pay me for my NIL. I’ll do the actual work for free. Com...

Re: Tax Free NIL

They could only forgive State income tax. There are states with no state income tax. But I can tell you this, if NC pulled a stunt like this I would have my employer stop my state withholding and dare NC to come and ask me for the money.

Satterfield left drink a Ferrari. Drink left Clark a BMW. Clark left Loggains a Geo Tracker. A bowl appearance and victory is a solid expectation level for right now. That could change based on fall camp and the non-conference performance. But Drink had to drive the Ferrari and Clark had to drive t...
