Re: Who left first, players or coach Kerns?

Hope App steps up on Kerns. His teams have improved every year. We also need to keep the momentum going. It would be great to have balance in athletics - we are known for football - we need to be better balanced - especially in basketball and baseball. With what we are paying Kerns - it is a miracle...

Re: JMU on bubble but not us?

We just do not have the reputation in basketball as we do in football. At large is probably a long shot for us - not saying it is fair. The at large will probably go to P% schools with potentially a stronger schedule with a few more losses.

Hoping to win the Sunbelt - solves all problems.

Re: Wilks Fired

The SuperBowl was lost in the first half - not the 2nd or overtime. When 49ers where kicking field goals and not getting TD's - they had no chance. KC always comes back and San Fran left the door open. Also, KC HC out coached San Fran HC. San Fran held KC to 19 points for the game(not including OT) ...

Re: SBC Championship Game at Troy discussion

We can go around all day on players, coaches etc.... All teams have strengths and weaknesses - the good teams and most successful teams adapt and overcome. Not sure we always adapted or at least try to adapt and overcome. In the 2nd half the Troy D Line was almost tackling or at least hitting our ru...

Re: Game Balls: JMU

Game ball to the team and the investment in the game. Over the past 3 to 4 games the spirit, attitude and never give up attitude has risen. Same for the JMU game. This team played the entire game and never gave up. Also, there seems to be a vibe that was missing early in the year. Games balls to all...

Re: Gameday App @ JMU /Game discussion

Great game and win - I have said all along that I did not see JMU as light years ahead of App - if ahead at all. They play solid - however we held our own I did not feel this was an upset. We played great, played hard and never gave up!! We played a lot of youth and the team seems to be n the right ...

Re: NC State QB to redshirt?

Not sure it matters if has to sit a year. I am sure he will have offers. He also has shown he is willing to move. CA to Boone for example. I just hope that he has embraced the App State culture - just not football. App is a great school - great environment and a great place to be. That itself may ke...

Re: The James Madison Way

JMU could be pressing as t hey know this type of success is not sustainable year end and year out . Trying to get the brand recognition. No matter what the NCAA does - they need to be consistent. If you could persuade all of us here that....... All programs have ups and downs. Maybe they get on a r...

Re: Favors

Change is not ideal mid season - however - it might be the only option to be successful. Might not be optimal - however it shows the recognition on the part of the coaches.

Also, thanks for the 3 3 4 and 3 3 5 clarification. I ran out of fingers!!

Re: #TeamClark

Denver's inability to apply common sense is laughable. Bowl games don't give credit for good losses (becoming worse each week now). It is black and white. In order to qualify for a bowl game or a conference championship (or in order to not come in last place in a division) you need wins. Actual win...

Re: McCall done

No clue why this showed up on my FB feed. First-year Coastal Carolina head coach Tim Beck said it was his ‘gut feeling’ that quarterback Grayson McCall will not play again for the Chanticleers this season. https://www.myrtlebeachonline.com/sports/college/sun-belt/coastal-carolina-university/article...

Re: Moving on to Marshall

Unfortunately our offense does look very antiquated and predictable. Time for a refresh. Even one of the announcers stated the same - that no matter who is coaching the offense has the same tendencies - or something like that. Basically the offense has not changed much over the past coating changes...

Re: Can we fix this

In my opinion - I think all of this can be fixed. Exactly how it will look - I am not sure. Should heads roll? Not sure. It just seems there is something wrong - and we keep creating new ways to come up short on the field. I do believe in App State and it will be fixed. I still believe we are close...

Re: Who?

So far - there seems to be a few versions - SC is gone - or maybe not. Or it could be DG that is potentially gone - or I guess both could be gone. It appears to be a messy situation - no matter what the truth is - or is not. I hope this is not a big distraction that turns focus in the wrong directio...

Re: Moving Forward

It is an overall improvement - across the board. The SBC has caught up to us. Not saying better - just caught up. We need improvement on and off the field. Even something as simple as the transfer credits. If we want to compete - we need to move into the 2023 game with recruiting, transfer portal an...

Re: Can we fix this

There's no studs on this team, maybe some young talent, but other than Nate Noel and maybe Robinson, there's no dominate talent, no alpha males, on this team and it shows. Won't be fixed until this young talent grows up to be playmakers. Exactly - PLUS - no true leaders on the team. I am not saying...

Re: JMU v Marshall Game

Can run on both. JMU lives by the long pass, keep in front of them. JMU is second half team (like we learned last year). They are #1 country against the run...no one has really run on them to date. They held Vidal of Troy over 100 yards short of his conference leading average per game. Webb of USA ...

Re: JMU v Marshall Game

I did watch the game - I still do not see anything from either of them that put them well ahead of App - they both have +/- just like we do. If we play to potential and for the entire game - we have as good chance with them as anyone else. We are on equal playing field - we just need to play a compl...
