Re: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly- Coastal
This game was a though watch. Offense started off well - defense never had an answer. Offense fizzled when needed and the defense still did not have an answer.

Re: Coastal - 3:30pm - Discussion
Nothing fancy by CCU on offense - they just ran thru the defense. Seems tackling is getting worse as the year goes on. With the QB - he might not be the issue as his stats say - however, he is throwing short passes and staring down receivers. At some point - he has to go down the field.

Re: Does culture matter anymore?
Yes - culture does matter. My question is how do we continue our culture in the new version of college football. For me, I am waiting to see how this staff handles the off season. A good recruiting class and a few transfers to fill in could go a long way to maintain culture. This season - will play ...

Re: Boise Discussion - 7:30pm
Very difficult game to watch. However, my humble view is that we are a better team than the last few years. Our defense is better. We seem to have fight. We just need to clean up the turnovers and penalties. The pick 6's are killing us. We also have players on the team that do not give up. I am in t...

Re: So Miss discussion
My take - the 3 interceptions either in or near the end zone - more or less sent the game in another direction. You can only ask so much of the defense. The question - what did the QB see. The one was a fluke bobble up in the air. The other 2 interceptions they're thrown into heavy coverage. Swann s...

Re: So Miss discussion
Well.... Seems we are flat. This has been a tough game to watch. Still watching - had to take a slight break to get my wife a book to read. Maybe the book will keep her from yelling at the TV.

I usually stay out of the Eric Church conversation - however, enough is enough. What a slap in the face to App State…..

I was impressed with the way Swann moved and navigated in the pocket - never looked overwhelmed.

Not sure this is the best - We have HULU and ESPN plus. Seems to get the most for what I watch sports wise. At least on the college level.

Re: Swann starter
New coach - 1st time head coach - pivotal year for App State. He needs to do and coach his way. I believe I saw we have 51 new players. This is a whole new staff and team. Probably is taking a while to put all the pieces together. Even continuity with practice etc.... I also like to hear what is hap...

Re: Another domino has fallen NIL
Plus - he has never been the standout player that UT hoped for. Last year UT made it to the playoffs with defense - not Nico. He disappeared when they needed him the most and the coach changed from the no huddle fast paced offense to a much slower offense - to help Nico. I currently live in Knoxvill...

Re: Another domino has fallen NIL
I still believe this is far from over. Will it change? Probably - however, will the top 1% be able to sustain dominance? Who knows..... College sports have always been supported by the underdog. Everyone will get tired of the same schools year after year - being in the championship game. There is so...

Re: App Transfer Portal 2025 - IN
Question - I have noticed only a few lineman from the TP and only maybe 1 in the recruiting class. Is that ai sign that the new coaching staff believes we have the lineman we need? Or, are we just not able to secure any starters of depth.

Re: A sobering reality we are going to have to face
Interesting conversation. A lot of great points of view and more questions than answers. With the athletes as the focal point and recipient of the NIL and very loose rules of the transfer portal - they could be eroding the very mechanism that is supplying the opportunity. It will be interesting to ...

Re: DJ Smith
this hire would make me really nervous...no hc experience...not an offensive coordinator...makes no sense to me...history has shown with G5's finding an offensive coordinator who can hire the right DC has great success Agree - offense is key for us. I am also for the offensive minded coach - with a...
