Re: Looking Ahead- Lindenwood
I'm not surprised with people being frustrated but there is a bit of overreaction. I never felt like the other team was beating us- I was frustrated that we were trying to beat ourselves. I'll list the + and - as I see them: +We controlled the line of scrimmage- both sides of the ball (502-216 total...

College Sports Commission rejecting some NIL deals
Some good news on college sports governance. "The new agency in charge of regulating name, image, likeness deals in college sports sent a letter to schools Thursday saying it had rejected deals between players and donor-backed collectives formed over the past several years to funnel money to athlete...

Maybe the Supreme Court will determine there is no difference between boys and girls when it comes to sports; thus Title IX becomes irrelevant. https://www.wsj.com/us-news/law/supreme-court-to-hear-challenge-to-state-bans-on-transgender-athletes-in-womens-sports-989f2e10?st=3T8fGr&reflink=desktopweb...

President Donald Trump is making plans to create a presidential commission on college athletics. https://sports.yahoo.com/college-football/breaking-news/article/sources-president-trump-creating-commission-on-college-sports-to-address-issues-ailing-industry-led-by-nick-saban-180732653.html?utm_source...

Re: NIL and future of NCAACF
Saw an article in USA TODAY that said the President was considering an executive o order addressing College Athletics, after a meeting with Nick Saban. I’m not able to add the article to this post…maybe one of you guys can. This is from the WSJ- https://www.wsj.com/sports/football/trump-considers-e...

Flopping should be a no-call. The flopping player can’t play defense from his backside and gives the offense an advantage. Play on.

Re: How Much is Your College Football Team Worth?
I wonder if some entity will eventually go the stock trade gambling route with college football. Ohio state is valued 10billion like a stock. Football teams break away from schools and become "franchisees" of the schools to allow for name, logo, etc use. Schools get a percent kickback and charge fa...

Mostly what I would expect with a few exceptions; Tulane at 129, WVU at 82 (lowest P4). App State is number 95.

Re: App Transfer Portal 2025 - OUT
I hope 4 and 2 both have excellent years. At the end of the day, it indirectly may help App St given we were the stop before the Power Conference. UCLA has Penn State, Ohio State and Indiana on their schedule. Seems weird putting Indiana football as a tough game. Will be interesting to see how they...

Re: App Transfer Portal 2025 - OUT
I would like to see Rick Neuheisel. He thinks the G5 should have a seat at the table and there should be revenue sharing. I think Saban would be fine with two conferences and eight teams from each making the playoffs, i.e. NFL model. Saban would lock out all conferences other than the Big 10 and the...
