We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Re: Preseason Projections
The length of the leash was game 2 in Drink’s one and only season. People wanted Roof fired after the Charlotte game. It worked out OK. DLo and his staff deserve support. Both in the peaks and valleys. Slightly different season in 2018 vs 2024. Giving up 50 pts at home to a team that only scored 9 ...

Re: NIL and future of NCAACF
A friend of mine tells me he thinks we will drown. The good news is that we won’t be alone. From that , perhaps, college athletics can rise again. It will take boldness and courage. Where will that originate? He says it won’t be Gill. If we drown half of FBS is drowned. Which it looks like is the c...

Re: 2024/25 post mortem
As much as I enjoy football it really is amazing when you think about it how much over emphasis is put on it and how so many people absolutely live and die (many on this board) with the game. I admit I like the countdown and look forward to the season but it’s not life itself. There are countless n...

Re: 2025 Football Schedule updates
I’ve never seen such a mass exodus in my life at a home football game. That was one of the lowest points of the program. Very true, the fans really showed their ass. Meh. Our coach makes over $1Mm and most of the players transfer out or are fired. It cost me ~$200 pp to go and I have to drive 2 hou...

Re: Doeren Scared of App State?
A few years ago, Army went to Yale for the 100th Anniversary of the Yale Bowl. And Yale won in overtime. I consider that a special circumstance. It wouldn't have counted for Army's bowl eligibility anyway because Yale didn't have football scholarships (must have 56 average schollies over the last t...

Re: Doeren Scared of App State?
NC State sees no value in playing Appalachian which shows the delusional level that NC State has as a national football power. A loss to Appalachian would be bad for their program nationally, but I do not see NC State ever having a shot at a national championship in football. I believe Appalachian ...

Re: Doeren Scared of App State?
His logic on why they should not play App in Boone is the same logic some on here applied to why App shouldn’t play at Western. No it’s not. Show me one example of an FBS program playing away at an fcs program in the modern era. Just one. This is like the Yankees saying they will not play away at t...

Re: Doeren Scared of App State?
Not sure it is scared..more so, it is commissioner does not want an ACC Power school playing a Group school on the road...not sure if it is revenue related, giving Group legitimacy in whatever way, or some other reason. Although I am sure NC State will take game seriously, the coach at NC State doe...

Re: NIL and future of NCAACF
Some of the issues could be alleviated with multi year contracts. Make them with a very large buyout if player wants to transfer so developing school gets some renumeration for time spent developing player. Does not solve all issues and sure it could be potentially challenged. But, try something an...

Re: Gillin said we're gonna play Western in football soon
On the Josh Graham Show today. Said Athletics is about to announce it. I know they are in NC but they don't have a big brand name, they don't travel well, and this should be a blowout win for us every time. We really don't need to play them but if we are going to we better only play them in Boone a...

Re: Roster/Staff Updates
Per South Carolina 24/7 (so you can trust it): South Carolina has five former players who are scheduled to visit Appalachian State this weekend. QB Dante Reno, DB Emory Floyd, OL Kam Pringle and the Porter brothers. They're all scheduled to visit there. Porter brothers are DL and LB for reference. ...

Re: NIL and future of NCAACF
I am not really sure what the big deal is. Your school is your school. Things may change, but it is still your school. The changes are for everyone not just Appalachian. So, if everyone has to play by the same rules the system is fair. I would say that the system is fairer now than it has ever been...

Vol board is mostly happy to get Joey. They think Heup can help him with picks.i may have to make a vol game this year. All coaches think they can correct issues with a player. He must think that Ponce and Clark are awful coaches to believe he can correct it in the SEC while they could not correct ...

I think Joey is just one of those guys you have to throw in a game to see what you got.
