Re: NC lawmakers to force UNC, NC State to play in-state schools

Greensboro paper this morning mentioned this bill is dead in committee. Sounds like Speaker Moore killed it and said it would never leave committee. (I did not bother to read the entire article.) From the article I quote Speaker Moore (uncheat alum): "It had the hearing it will have....I told them ...

Re: Bill Mauldin

Coach Mauldin was the head coach of Watauga's 1978 3A state championship football team, I believe. My cousin played on that team. I know a few fellas from that team, Jimmy Flick, Chip Con, and Danny Triplett (played on Clemson National Title team). Had Coach Mauldin as PE teacher, he always told me...

Re: Another Portal Loss and Portal Discussion

You really do not want the best players, you want the second best players, the ones that rely on their teammates and do not try to do it all. You see teams all the time who rely on one or a few players to do it all and when they get hurt the team folds. Other teams that do not rely on just a few pl...

At this point in the season, what should be expected from the young guys? Are they meeting the standard or expectations?

Another way from Linville Take 105N to Shulls Mill Road, it should be open there, not sure though. Take Shulls Mill Road toward Blowing Rock (it's curvy). Exit Blue Ridge Parkway, north. Exit Bamboo Road to Boone. Just off the top of my head. There are other ways from Shulls Mill Road too. Foscoe h...

Re: 2024 Baseball Mega Thread

Weather looks bad for the weekend. Will the JMU series get played? I remember a snow game in April in Boone. We were wearing white. Had the heaters going in the dugout and 15 dudes huddled in the bathroom to stay warm. The kids from Florida were questioning why they came to App State. Furman coach ...

Send that picture to the ACC officiating office and demand an apology. it was Huntley and he got called for the foul........... It's not beyond me. Half a mind to do it. Might be more productive to contact someone that is involved with the NIT. Leave a pair of glasses on the hood of his car. Or som...

Is it possible to congratulate an App team for a hard fought game & a great season that has exceeded the level of success for a program that has struggled, while also acknowledging the fact that there is a talent gap between the ACC & the Sun Belt. Being at the game, I wouldn't argue with you that ...

Speaking of damage, I believe we can do more damage in the NIT than NCAA. Thus, in a way, this works to better our post season advantage. So to speak in laymen terms :)

The team deserves (in my opinion at least) a NIT bid. With that said, hopefully during this tournament sleep walking through half a game will be something of the past. Get rested up, shake it off, refocus and get it done. Move forward.
