Re: Portal time 25-26
Can we start two threads- one for complaining about the transfer portal and another for complaining about NIL? Then, for those who want to moan and complain about it can do it there. Meanwhile, the rest of us can just discuss which players are leaving and which a coming and how they’ll help the tea...

Re: Birmingham Bowl
Georgia Southern played with their starters and did not run all over Appalachian with our backups. Appalachian could have very easily won the game had the turnovers not happened where they did on the field. They were playing like our starters, turning the ball over at key times and in key places. I...

Re: Birmingham Bowl
Some of yall are crazy. How can you question a coach’s talent evaluation when you look at results? App played literally the same team twice, once with starters and once with mostly 3-4th string guys. The starters lost by 2, the backups lost by 19. Wilson and a couple other players showed some flash...

Re: Birmingham Bowl
The positive is, beating App twice in one year probably keeps Clay Helton around for another couple years. Pretty sure what we saw today is the height of GA Southern under Clay Helton.

Re: Birmingham Bowl
Will be nearly impossible to pull out a W now but if the core group today comes back next season we may show some improvement along with some transfer in and a full squad. Not a good game to watch, truly backyard ball but hey we are all Champions of Life! Don’t forget the #1 ranked recruiting class...

Re: Birmingham Bowl
Shawn Clark (God rest his soul) would have produced a better result than DL. THIS year. Shawn Clark wouldn’t have had to rebuild, and App would’ve won maybe 2-3 more games. App admin rolled the dice that a new coach, after an adjustment period, could make App better. Think of it this way, if you we...

Re: Birmingham Bowl
I'll make a statement here, and feel free to disagree if you want. If I'm Helton, I'm not really happy with the caliber of play from my team. App's roster is gutted, yet they're hanging around and making this interesting. I said something similar after the first game. App is rebuilding, Southern is...

Re: Portal time 25-26
https://www.facebook.com/share/189Lx922Kb/ You cannot make this stuff up; we are going further and further into the looking glass. Not tryna be a jerk, but high school players have been manipulating their residence in order to “transfer” for… ever. Add onto that how private schools are allowed to r...

Re: Th. 12/18 6:30pm - MBB vs Coastal Carolina
Well, I posted some critical thoughts about Dustin Kerns on this board after the loss to UNC-A, and then they go on a 4 game win streak. So, I guess... #FireDustinKerns???

Re: Portal time 25-26
Some interesting JMU NIL numbers, reported in the athletic, based of FOIA requests, "James Madison’s revenue-sharing budget is a little more than $1 million, according to its payroll data. That figure is split among 34 players (whose names were redacted). Two players are making $65,000, and four ar...

Re: Portal time 25-26
Seriously, this is ridiculous, named the starter for the bowl game and does this… I wouldn’t sign up to coach in this era the G6 level, just not worth it. It's only ridiculous in terms of the environment being what it is. For Kohl, and any other G5 player that had even a decent season, putting your...
