Re: Ok State Fires Gundy
Between his time as the QB, assistant coaching roles and Head Coach, it is safe to say the Mike Gundy has been around for the most successful football years in program history. What a tough way to go out, loser of your last 11 FBS games. The Cowboys were riding high with good old T Bone in their ba...

Re: Week 4 games
Tulsa looking very good against OSU. Looking like they came to win, not just compete. Tre lamb is a winner. dLo will hopefully do well; but im a firm believer a solid strategy is to recruit winners frm lower levels. That goes for coaches and players The same Tre Lamb who lost to New Mexico State an...

Re: Week 4 games
Makes me wonder why some schools keep trying to play football at a higher level. Some never get over the hump and keep pumping huge money into the effort. In my opinion college football, especially at the FBS level simply has too many teams (similar to most professional leagues). It simply isn’t su...

Re: 1983 Yosef Club License Plate
1983. My first year at App. We were not a school with a long-standing tradition of gridiron success. We were known as a party school attended by Happy Appies. We resented that moniker, but it was true. It was Mack's only year at the helm, and there was an awesome football poster that read "I can't ...

Re: So Miss discussion
It would be nice to find the next Armanti Edwards, a left-handed mobile quarterback. What made Edwards so elusive was the fact that his blind side was on the wrong side of the field. Defenses were not as prepared for that.

Re: So Miss discussion
Technically, we did not lose to Southern Miss as much as we lost to Marshall, which sucks even more.

Re: Vol Football (Aguilar watch)
Appalachian is not for the meek. I have never met anyone that graduated from App that did not like it. If you do not like it in the High Country, you leave. We need a winning football team built around that. It took a long time for Appalachian to win three national championships. No amount of money ...

Re: So Miss discussion
The people who are spoiled when it comes to Appalachian Football are not the players, not the doners, not the administration, and not the athletic department. The people who are spoiled are the ones that post on this board and talk about how spoiled everyone is. Just like the people that complain ab...

Texas State Idaho NMSU Louisiana off the top of my head So technically the Idaho win is the only pacific time zone win? The Wyoming debacle was a loss we snatched from the jaws of victory, does that count I was at that game. Brutal. Great experience though I loved Laramie. They call it "Laradise" f...

Re: Looking Ahead- Lindenwood
Just saw where ECU is distributing digital game programs to fans by email: https://publogix.com/e/25-ECARFB/ Sort of a cool idea, since most at everyone is going digital these days and it helps save some trees. Yes, but you cannot put them in a file cabinet drawer and look at them 37 years later to...

Re: The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly
We beat one of the worst teams in the country, but looked good doing it. Will hold off on "analysis" until after the game with that juggernaut Lindenwood. Do we really know that UNCC is “one of the worst teams in the country” ? They might not be terrible. A defense that tackles well makes things lo...
