Re: Portal time 25-26

The current Ole Miss QB who is vying for a chip played 3 seasons at a D2 college. There is quality talent at the D2 and FCS level and I hope we consider those areas more instead of trying to grab disgruntled P4 bench players. I have no problem picking up the right P4 but yes there is talent at the ...

Re: Birmingham Bowl

DLo stated he should have helped him with development. He did not say he was better than AJ or JJ. And now we'll never know if he could have been. NIL money talks. Let's roll this back. I am a new head coach. My QB room consists of AJ, JJ, G, and Wilson. 3 pocket passers and one RPO guy. One of my ...

Re: Birmingham Bowl

Some of yall are crazy. How can you question a coach’s talent evaluation when you look at results? App played literally the same team twice, once with starters and once with mostly 3-4th string guys. The starters lost by 2, the backups lost by 19. Wilson and a couple other players showed some flash...

The Birmingham Bowl does have a cool trophy; it would have been nice to have it in our trophy cabinet. Maybe when we beat them next season in Statesboro, they will let us take it home with us.
It will be corroded by then.

Re: Portal time 25-26

Really no different than all season. We didn't have a full time HC and we didn't have a full time OC. Hopefully next year we will have full time people in both of those positions. Then I hope he becomes the second best HC we ever had, and we win the confrence and a good bowl. But it only has a chanc...

Re: We need a good offensive coordinator

I would imagine there wont be enough room in the budget to hire a dedicated OC. If Loggains were to give up calling plays, I'd bet he would let someone like Christensen do it Looking at all the people in that department if there is no money for a position that is that important we have a serious ma...

I appreciate your confidence in the staff. I saw nothing this year to share it.
We did not have an experienced QB coach so I just wonder if he fell through the cracks. Maybe not but just wonder if he deserves another look.

Re: Portal time 25-26

Sounds like most corporate jobs in America Except corporations don't need people donating money to pay them. Sure they do.. through selling their products and services. If pre-revenue, through capital raises. We are selling enjoyment, frustration and whatever emotions come to mind through football ...

Re: Portal time 25-26

All of you make valid points, yet none make me feel better about the current state/future prospects of G6 football. You shouldn't feel good about it. The "successful" program at our level is going to be the one the embraces the new normal and makes the most of it. Nevada has the right idea. Pitch t...

I wonder what the team on the field today would have done this year.
Probably would’ve lost a lot more games by a lot more points considering App lost by 19 points the second time and only 2 points the first time.
Not so sure of that.

Re: Birmingham Bowl

It was always the right decision to play this game. Everyone involved should be commended for it. The players that decided to play, mostly. They played hard and put in the effort. I'm proud of them. This game showed once more that the offensive play caller is a hinderance to this program. Dowell ne...

Re: Birmingham Bowl

Will be nearly impossible to pull out a W now but if the core group today comes back next season we may show some improvement along with some transfer in and a full squad. Not a good game to watch, truly backyard ball but hey we are all Champions of Life! Don’t forget the #1 ranked recruiting class...

Re: Birmingham Bowl

For those of you who didn't get it I was being facetious. I was making a ststement about the pain I would endure losing to the stink 2 times in one year. I am not going to hate a coach for losing one game even if it is the stink. I think(:

We never hear much from the folks who thought this was a good idea anymore do we.
This game or the new structure?
The new structure. Bowl is good practice.
