We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Re: Brian Wilson dead at 82
Sad day. Have seen them a number of time since the late 60s. Last was two years ago. Didn't go a week or so ago and really regret it.

Re: Private Equity in College Athletics
What does the business school have to do with colleges and NIL.? A good business school at a college should help the college or university avoid the pitfalls of bad business moves in theory. The same is true of having a good planning department at a university, instead of just building things here ...

Re: NIL and future of NCAACF
Anyway you can go back to Gillen’s 12/19/24 App St. Aporoach to changes in college sports… he lays it out in detail. The $330k “payment” is actually a reduction in future payments made from the NCAA to Apps for 10 yrs. It is essentially less for our budget than they planned for and will have to be ...

Re: NIL and future of NCAACF
Yes it is “revenue share.” Key phrase in House settlement is “but not required to”….. we won’t be sharing $20M or $10M or $5M or $3M…. nor will 90% of G5. This is where the gap between classifications gets greater. Also remember that those of us (us being all schools that join/ agree to follow the ...

Re: NIL and future of NCAACF
The Cooper Flaggs , Notre Dame football among others with national followings are few and far between. Uncle Joe’s Tavern in Columbus, Ohio or Knoxville Tennessee might throw a couple K at a few guys to hob nob with their customers though. Good luck on enforcing those. It will continue to be pay fo...

Re: NIL and future of NCAACF
The " side gig" for the student athlete is the sport they play for the University. Many are putting in more hours than a student with a "side gig". We can debate whether they should get paid or not ...or whether the scholarship should be the only payment. My point is that the amount of time that st...

Re: NIL and future of NCAACF
I have always been fine for athletes to be able to be paid for legit side gigs like any other student on campus. You go film and advertisement for peabodies? Great get paid. You go shake hands and kiss babies at events, heck yea get paid. You want sign some autographs, heck yea get paid. The proble...

Re: NIL and future of NCAACF
Yup, just wild. NIL made it a semi pro league because the entities themselves weren't paying the players. Now I have to say that college is officially a professional league. It says that these payments are on top of scholarships and other benefits. I believe it is time to do away with football and ...

Re: 2024/25 post mortem
No doubt football success is what drives the interest and support for the athletic program but I'm not a fan of a lopsided or top heavy athletic program. The real loser in this new era are the sports where the athletes really do it for the love of their craft. That's not to say football players are...

Re: 2025 Football Schedule updates
The team was losing 40 points to a historically inferior conference opponent on a weeknight game. Who showed their ass? Sorry, thought I made that clear. It was the fans who walked out on the team. So the fans caused the team to be down 42-7 after the third quarter? That was probably your family fr...

Re: 2025 Football Schedule updates
I’ve never seen such a mass exodus in my life at a home football game. That was one of the lowest points of the program. Very true, the fans really showed their ass. The team was losing 40 points to a historically inferior conference opponent on a weeknight game. Who showed their ass? Sorry, though...
