Re: MBB vs Arkansas State, Sunday, March 10, 6 p.m. ET, ESPN+, Pensacola Bay Center, Pensacola, Fla., Sun Belt semis

Winning fills Holmes . Recruiting is greatly affected by large crowds .Or on the downside , small crowds. Certainly the ticket sale revenue makes a substantial difference. All that plays into building a program that can compete for a bid . I strongly agree with this statement, but we have to get of...

Re: MBB vs Arkansas State, Sunday, March 10, 6 p.m. ET, ESPN+, Pensacola Bay Center, Pensacola, Fla., Sun Belt semis

Generally speaking, Sun Belt teams have terrible home attendance. So I am not sure the location of the conference tournament really matters. Basically every team in the conference needs to build a fanbase. Pensacola seems like a good location for students on Spring Break. But I didn't see many stude...

Re: MBB vs Arkansas State, Sunday, March 10, 6 p.m. ET, ESPN+, Pensacola Bay Center, Pensacola, Fla., Sun Belt semis

The stretch of kerns not recognizing that mantis was a liability was the sticking point. That was the change. It’s easy to make that substitution in a regular season game up 7 ad hide mantis but Kerns shoulda subbed mantis out asap and he didn’t. Arkansas state rightly feasted on this and we lost b...

This was a tough loss. But this '23-'24 App team is probably the best I have ever seen. Every man on this team deserves credit for what they accomplished this year.

Now, I just hope CJ is the only guy that could come back next year who isn't.

A win today would go a long way towards an NIT opportunity. And wins today and tomorrow should put us on the 12 line in the Dance.

Go App!

Hopefully with Apps games starting on a Saturday more fans make it down, especially with the opportunity to catch two games over a quick overnight trip. That's a long drive for a "quick overnight trip" :D I wish the tournament was hosted closer or at a place with more cheap direct flights Agree. Co...

Re: App Receiving Votes…No Longer Just One

App getting more votes in coaches and AP poll than all but two ACC schools. In the Carolinas, getting more votes than all but 3 teams: Carolina, Duke and North Carolina. Let me start by saying that this year is the best basketball we have had in... I would say my life time. But in fairness, South C...

Re: And once again

Didn’t you start this thread by making an unsubstantiated statement that our AD was looking for another job without any indication that it was factual? I did. And when asked for evidence (why I think he is, I provided it). I don't blame him one bit for capitalizing on the success of our program. I ...

Re: And once again

They are soliciting for seat packages and minimum donation requirements for those seats (suites, etc) to help pay for the east side expansion. Unsure what percent are committed at this point. Using terms like “fully funded” and “secured” are misleading to some (including myself), but people are all...

Re: And once again

For the last time: you should not believe people who say "funding secured" because they have inside information. In my opinion, no athletics department should be allowed to just take on debt without showing a real plan for servicing that debt. It was irresponsible to say that funding was secured on...

Re: And once again

There is a concern about the amount of debt these projects (at current funding levels) would require.

Re: And once again

I would hate to have an AD leave for Missouri (who's basketball team has not won a conference game this season), and potentially loose our head coach and several players who could be returning starters. I would prefer to have an AD who was focused on keeping Kerns. But that's just me.

Re: And once again

I don't know what you want me to say. I was asked for a link and provided one. Look, I am not saying that Gillin went to Columbia and applied for the job at HR. That's not how this works. They have agents to get them on lists like this or keep them off these lists. So, I said sniffing.
