We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Re: NIL and future of NCAACF
Anyway you can go back to Gillen’s 12/19/24 App St. Aporoach to changes in college sports… he lays it out in detail. The $330k “payment” is actually a reduction in future payments made from the NCAA to Apps for 10 yrs. It is essentially less for our budget than they planned for and will have to be m...

Re: NIL and future of NCAACF
Yes it is “revenue share.” Key phrase in House settlement is “but not required to”….. we won’t be sharing $20M or $10M or $5M or $3M…. nor will 90% of G5. This is where the gap between classifications gets greater. Also remember that those of us (us being all schools that join/ agree to follow the s...

Re: 2025 Baseball Mega Thread
Why do you feel USM got shafted? They’re hosting a regional. I know Troy’s HC is pissed. Go listen to his post presser after their loss in tournament. He thought they were in for sure.

Re: 2025 Baseball Mega Thread
It was the double wammy of poor pitching.. 8 bb’s and 2 hit batters… 10 free baserunners.. can’t give teams that many…. and then the not great situational hitting. No urgency and that’s disappointing. Inept at moving runners, which has been an all-season issue. Their guy did pitch well and mixed up ...

Re: 2025 Baseball Mega Thread
The reality of this team is they are mostly young and not great pitching. The youth appears pretty good and will be better next season . By better I mean more consistent, particularly fielding and clutch hitting. Injuries have hurt our best two or three starting pitchers. The relief guys need lots o...

Re: 2025 Baseball Mega Thread
Yea maybe. The saving grace is that while CC pitching gives up about 1 less run a game better than USM pitching (great), they don’t hit as well either… about .20 less on team ba and we have about 19 more extra base hits then they do.. course you have to make contact to get extra base hits.

Re: 2025 Baseball Mega Thread
We have to find a way to start hitting good pitching. Yes good pitching by definition, is good b/c they don’t give up lots of hits. Our top 5 or six hitters have to come through in these games. So far……. mostly crickets .

Re: 2025 Baseball Mega Thread
Besides the errors that hurt, we also walked 8 , so they had baserunners all the time…. they walked 0. Can’t do that and beat a good team.

Re: 2025 Baseball Mega Thread
Bats have come out early and try to get an early lead…. be aggressive on the base paths… move runners over…. make them make some plays. Pitchers keep the ball away from the fat part of the bat… whether that’s in tight or out an away. Really have to play well defensively…. don’t be a hero… hit the cu...

Re: UCLA football
The deal that Joey Aguilar is finalizing to go to Tennessee is similar financially to the deal that he’d previously agreed to at UCLA, per ESPN sources. He had $1.2 million left at UCLA on his deal, and his new deal at Tennessee is close to that.

Re: 2025 Baseball Mega Thread
Injuries have hurt our 3rd pitching slot. Leaving too many men on base. Going to have to have a mindset of moving b.runners over earlier in the game… much like JMU did ….when we play CC and USM (1st + 3rd) in team ERA. We really need to at least split those series.

Re: 2025 Baseball Mega Thread
Just reviewing Nolan’s predictions for us and he has us taking 2/3 from JMU, beating ETSU, losing to Wake Forest, taking 2/3 from USM, losing all three to CC, 2/3 from SOAL and 2/3 from GAST…..had a finishing like 28-24 and 16-14…. which will not be easy. .. but when I went back to it .. it had chan...

Re: 2025 Baseball Mega Thread
Great comeback… we tried to give it away a couple of times lat in the 9th and 10th. These are the types of games you’ll have to play against better pitching teams. You’ll have to sacrifice more, steal more and bunt. I was really wondering why we waited so long to do it. Also why in the heck is Moqui...

Re: Another domino has fallen NIL
I guess I’d say that there will be times it “feels” like it. Just like there will always be structural differences between us and the Ohio States of the world, there are structural differences between us and the FCS. This is our place. Will we ever win a National Championship in football…. a resound...

Re: 2025 Baseball Mega Thread
Hi Happ! Yes today that’s probably true. But if the teams starts beating up everyone, I suspect that either GASO or Troy could be looking on the outside….. time will tell.. that’s why you play the games.

Re: 2025 Baseball Mega Thread
Think conference is rated about right. Unlikely to get multiple at-large bids. Much of the season last year the Belt had 6-8 teams in top 100 RPI…. not this year. Apps cannot win on the road and does not do well against the higher rated schools… not a good mix.
