Re: Th. 12/18 6:30pm - MBB vs Coastal Carolina

Yah hopefully they can carry some momentum into conference play. As suprising as it may sound the offense is better then last year, it's defense that's been well behind. But all the roster changes and importantly CJ moving on has been a big factor. I'd be surprised if they weren't markedly better on...

Re: At ECU

Glad to get the win! The offense tbh is roughly the same as last year and I'd argue the ceiling might be higher (certainly on the guard play) then last year, but we're getting "crushed" defensively compared to last season. CJ was obviously fantastic inside. The team's defensive FG% is down quite a b...

Re: At Mercer

Dissapointing game but we're still early in the season and I have hope. It's tough to see, but statistically most the players are better then what's happening on the court (offensively) but the rotations def aren't there. At the end the execution was really sloppy and that's something Kerns will abs...

Support for D Lo taking a dive.
Makes sense! Hope he can turn it around next season, but App deserves better then to function as training wheels for wannabe headcoaches. You either win games or you don't.

Re: New year , new team.

I’ve been told we showed promise in the scrimmage . Flashes of being able to compete at a high level. I think we have one more before the season starts. Awesome to hear. We've been so fortunate to have Kerns. I feel like regardless of the recruiting/portal situation he's got guys on the court ready...

Re: New year , new team.

Tip off dinner was a great evening. Tubby Smith a first class human being with some great Bobby Cremins stories. The guys really seem to like one another and coaches believe we can go ten deep. I think we surprise the league. That's awesome! We had some really good players graduate the last couple ...

Re: Does culture matter anymore?

We should/should've concentrated on what makes App different as opposed to getting into the trenches on the NIL / wannabe SEC coach train. Anyone wowed by DL's history prior to here? Let's be real about those teams and their records in aggregate... App won't ever compete on a dollar to dollar basis...

Re: UNCC Mayo Kickoff game now Friday

Whats up Mountaineers. Been awhile since I have checked in on ya'll. Was reading earlier in the thread about the schedule and thought I would share what our AD has told me. After our initial 2 game H/H series the desire was there to set up another series as quickly as possible. That series was slat...

Re: ESPN Tier ranking

Tbh I relish App in the "underdog" role. Our death knell historically has been hype, pre season ratings, and primetime TV. Low expectations + over deliver. I'm concerned AF that the school decided to chase NIL/Transfers when I think the move was going counter and investing in socials/communications ...

Re: 25-26 Sunbelt sched

At first glance this looks great.

- Love starting at home and before Christmas.
- First long roadtrip against what look to be weaker teams in the Sunbelt next season (although with the turnover who knows)
- Three conference games in December is pretty cool.

Re: Early Season Tournaments

It'd be nice to make a decent mid-major field, but who knows. Absent that hopefully next year's schedule gets a few more P5s. The ACC reducing their conf schedule by two games will hopefully be really helpful. The P5's have gotten so brutal with their scheduling tactics that I'm not sure we'll land ...

It’s been great to see (knock on wood) most are staying with the team this season, a nice change over last season!

Looking to bring in at least five , maybe more , based on interest. As of now we have only lost one who we would have given another year but he was looking at a diminished role and decided to move on.
Is Tate still exploring an extra year of eligibility?

Does Jalil Beaubrun have an extra year of eligibility? Tate possibly too with the redshirt?

Re: Seeding Scenarios

Looks like Troy & Arkansas St playing for a bid. As much as it sucks not to see App there both these teams will be good representatives. I feel like the new Sunbelt format worked as intended. It's not as though any of the underdogs won four straight only to lose last night... Now if they can just so...

Re: Myles Tate

Rumors he is applying for another year of eligibility? If he stays that’s great news. Man that would be awesome. He had an amazing season, but I feel like the lack of depth with guards was particularly painful down the stretch. As others mentioned if we'd kept Harcum for example this team would've ...
