Re: Could ACC be snubbed and SBC get in CFP?
Until contracts tie students to a school for 2 or 4 years....nothing will be fixed. But, do all players get contracts? Walk-ons? Third-Stringers? Contracts will fix a lot of this, but there can still be end of the year issues. Also, contracts don't stop coaches from moving before the end of the sea...

Re: The J Cline Memorial Celebrity Obituaries
Greg probably did as much as any individual in the survival and recovery efforts. And, he did a tremendous job putting the word out of what kind of help was needed. Incredibly sad.

Re: Birmingham Bowl
So the season started against Charlotte:
Our transfers vs, their transfers at someone else’s stadium.
It will end in Birmingham:
Our non-transfers vs. their non-transfers at someone else’s stadium”

Re: Could ACC be snubbed and SBC get in CFP?
I kind of have been hearing the opposite...Power conference schools are looking to reduce their power conference out of conference scheduling because the committee has not shown any benefit to strength of schedule. Only W/L. The ACC is going to 9 conference games beginning for most of the league in...

Re: New side of Dowell I’ve never seen before
Distrust of the media in boardrooms is prevalent. Distrust of the media is prevalent everywhere: https://news.gallup.com/poll/651977/americans-trust-media-remains-trend-low.aspx There’s a difference between the mass media and local reporters. Look at how good Mike Leach was with the media. It’s a c...

Re: New side of Dowell I’ve never seen before
DLo may need to go to Mens Warehouse and pick up a jacket to wear to the BOT meeting and bowl press conference. I know I know in the whole scheme of things….. But perception Carries a few points. Jacket or not we got a good class coming in. Hopefully the evil TP will be just as good or better. Prob...

Re: Portal time 25-26
Seriously, this is ridiculous, named the starter for the bowl game and does this… I wouldn’t sign up to coach in this era the G6 level, just not worth it. At this point, I’m thinking it’s an agent negotiating tactic. Player/agent says “here’s what we want.” The school counters or says “no” And the ...

Re: At ECU
Two of those turned down an increase in pay to return. Hint: Both over 6’8. I wonder if they see what's happened to Abson and realize money isn't the only thing that matters? While he doesn’t play much, Abson is the 2nd most efficient player on that team according to advance metrics. It’s a differe...

Re: At ECU
I find it hard to believe that we are going to increase attendance to home games. Even when we win (in this case by double digits) it’s not just ugly, it’s BAD ugly. I was, and still am, a supporter of Dustin Kerns, but his coaching style is ugly basketball. When App is winning, I don't mind it, bu...

Re: Birmingham Bowl
I know everyone talks about extra practices, but we practiced in Spring Ball, summer workouts and for 13-14 weeks this season. We have injuries. Are we going to gain that much from extra practices in the era of the portal? If the players want to play, then I support it. Life is too short and you on...

Re: Birmingham Bowl
My gut tells me Rondo/Manuel, McCantos and LittleJohn will play. If they care anything about rivalries and TIGMA. I don’t think the rivalries and TIGMA matter to that group, but it’s a chance to pad their resume and play in the only game that day on the mothership. But, will DLo let them??? What ar...

Re: Let's pile on Gillin!!!!!
We need to come up with something great to start the 4th quarter. What we have now is just boring. Used to be Mountain Music but that is usually the 2nd half song of the game. I do like the “4th Quarter at The Rock” video they do. Good motivational video, just to follow it up with a song that gets ...

Re: Let's pile on Gillin!!!!!
Fix Miller Hill with Astro turf or seats. Looks horrible with mud and trash all over it. Agreed. Ive been beating this drum for years. It is long past due to bowl in miller hill with seats. Long past due. Move the BOD over there so they can blast the entire stadium and all of campus. Put students o...

Re: Let's pile on Gillin!!!!!
Speaking of bleachers, I would suggest that the east side expansion could be a good opportunity to install individual seats throughout the stadium. Or maybe everywhere but the student sections. Would reduce total capacity, but that would be offset by the expansion. And the metal bleachers are becom...

https://twitter.com/mattwilsonn2/status/1996031282313359391?s=46 When it came to QBs I trust that if this kid could have played then he would have...especially when that other true freshman played. I will say this about him, out of all the QBs that we had on our roster this year, he was one of them...

Any clue if our nil account is giving out more $ than last year or previous years? It is what it is.. whether I like or not... It does play a role into getting some guys in the portal as compared to another team. From someone within our administration who should know: In 2026, we will more than dou...

Re: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly- Arkansas State
I put the defensive effort in my Good. Three takeaways. Three Sacks. Four tackles for losses. Six Passes Defended: In four 4th Quarter possessions: grabbed an interception and forced two punts. Front Line making plays, LB's rallying to the ball and grabbing an INT by clogging the passing lanes. The ...
