Re: 2024 Schedule
ECU is a buffer game. ECU is a team that slightly worries me. They can't be worse than last year and Dowdy will not be an easy stadium to play in. I certainly believe we are the better team and have improved ourselves from the game last year but it will be tough I think. Don't underestimate the Pir...

I like the white uni's as well, but the fans should always wear black. Maybe an Oreo day.

Re: Is it time to rethink the sports we offer ?
College athletics is not really about making money. College athletics is a scholarship program. Just like in the movie Ms. Congeniality is not a beauty pageant, it is a scholarship program. Having said that, what college athletics really is, is advertising for your university. It is a mechanism to ...

Re: Another Portal Loss and Portal Discussion
It's not as cold up there as it used to be. Speaking for those of us who still spend extended periods of time up there during the winter, I'll respectfully disagree. Not to mention how winter goes on and on and on...much like it does in the northern US. I've lived in Boone full time for over thirty...

Re: NC lawmakers to force UNC, NC State to play in-state schools
If you take the politics out of the funding of the schools where App would be on an equal level, then you wouldn't need the politics to equal out the sports side. Creating problems, then getting celebrated for fixing them. Parks and infrastructure I agree with, along with equal funding of education....

Cool, but hey legislature, stay out of sports. And from the "limited government" republicans too. They are supposed to be my people.

On the men's side, European players are much more fundamentally sound in the game of bball It's probably because they're allowed to smoke cigarettes on the bench over there. Wait...maybe that's just in the Balkans...? Yeah no tobacco products in the US. Weed on the other hand...no problem!

Why even play the game? We could run simulations based on the statistical inputs and watch virtual reality games. No more NIL too.

Re: Portal season (Abson, Spillers, etc)
We are talking about amateur athletes getting paid $25-$100k (on top of a $25k scholarship and $6k stipend annually) to play in front of maybe 5k people and on ESPN+ with less than 30k viewers. I recommend reading that sentence out loud to realize how crazy and unsustainable this is for anyone outs...

Re: Angel steps down as WBB coach
I’ll just put it all out there. YOLO Marshall WBB went and spent 60k for two recruits through NIL. That’s 30k a pop. That’s the going rate. (Janay Sanders got 25k to go to Minnesota.) The Marshall AD rolled out the red carpet for her and prioritized WBB. Caldwell’s husband was given a job on the me...

Run off tackle on 1st, pass on 2nd and 3rd. Stormed the field at the end. Yup, that's App.
