Re: This would be fun....G6 tournament

Any G-6 Tournament would not be fun because we would be relegated to the new FCS, Division II, Division III purgatory that we escaped when we moved to FBS. So how do you expect us to keep up with the arms race that is the current landscape of football? Like it or not, we are headed to the second di...

Re: Brian Kelly Fired

A fool and their money are soon parted.

There are plenty of fools when it comes to the world of college athletics. That won't change anytime soon.

Is the reason the player is eligible because he never played in college before the G League?
I'm assuming the 5 years to play 4 seasons rule would still be in effect?

Yet another nail in the coffin.

I still believe before it’s all said and done, college athletes won’t even need to be students any longer.

Sad.
Deion's 0.0 GPA wasn't already proof enough?

Re: Winning….

It hasn’t been that long ago that if you didn’t go to our game you had to hope to find a radio broadcast, watch it on PBS (that was crazy) or by some chance see us play on ESPN2. Many of us, me included had people stop me for weeks after we beat Michigan to congratulate me (like I did something). W...

Re: This would be fun....G6 tournament

How about the G5 conference champs (after the playoff representative) get matched up in bowl games- there are 5 G5 conferences and the highest rated champ gets the playoff spot so the other 4 champs square off. No need to crown a G5 champ but those two games would be better than what is normally do...

Unless things drastically change, there won't be a "P4" for much longer. It will be a "P2". We are in reality at least 80% of the way there already. It's getting close to time to make this a full on cut. Let the haves go spend their billions of dollars on renting teenagers for a year at a time. The...

Re: Billy Napier Fired

Finebaum has no clue about the “ state” of football anywhere but Alabama. He and other experts could us their platforms to push for some rules and guardrails for the NIL and the portal. Besides, does the man have the biggest ears you’ve ever seen? Alfred E. Neuman would like a word. As would Manny ...

Few people have said it was well as Paul Finebaum:

“It was long overdue, he (Napier) was a complete failure as a coach.”
Good ole Paul Finebaum. I’m happy that he has a platform to express his pent up rage from being the last kid picked for kickball.

Re: Winning….

When I was younger the reactions to wins and losses of the teams I supported were much more a part of the core of who I was. Time and experience have shown that there are a hell of a lot more important things to take up that space in me. I am disappointed when my teams lose. I am happy when they win...

Re: Coastal - 3:30pm - Discussion

Before I fully commit to Kohl being our guy, I really think we need to see him complete a pass to himself. That’s my only criticism of him at this point. Can he even make that throw? Has it been confirmed anywhere whether he took over due to performance or injury? If the latter, is coach the type t...

If I’m PSU, I’d put all my chips on the table to get Cignetti….. he’s already a proven winner at IU….. crazy to say that. He’d kill it at PSU but it won’t come cheap. They’ll have to offer something around $11-12 M plus whatever he wants for asst pool, NIL, rev. share. While it took him awhile to g...

Re: Prove Me Wrong - App Football Season - Positive Vibes

I actually disagree on the wake result. I agree they are better than we are but I don’t think they beat Oregon State. Our fourth quarter was the result of toughness more than talent. The beavers will be out for blood and will win easily is my prediction. I didn't have "Wake will get Bray fired" on ...

Re: Gold out vs coastal

I’ll be in attendance with all four members of our family which is a rare occasion these days and if we win, I promise I won’t care about the color of tshirts. November 2005 keeps getting further in the rear view window as being the last time I attended a game in Boone. I really hope this Toledo se...

Re: Prove Me Wrong - App Football Season - Positive Vibes

I have a nagging feeling we have beaten three of the sorriest teams in college football. I might not include Oregon State in that trio but Maalik Murphy played far below his abilities on Saturday. Given Georgia State’s resume and our resume and the fact that the game is in Atlanta, I’m surprised we...

I "should" be able to hit the golf ball like Scottie Scheffler, but here we are.
We all can do it, just most of us it's a handful of shots a round at most.

Re: Gold out vs coastal

All gold unis won’t be my favorite, but they’ll be better than the abominations they wore last week. To be honest, I felt the same about the white/black/white combo when they were announced, but those grew on me as the week progressed into the game. I certainly like them better than using the yello...

Re: Prove Me Wrong - App Football Season - Positive Vibes

Can Dubinion take the pounding over the season??? I've missed the others in the room being ready to share that load. One of the good/bad questions of a transfer player coming from his situation. He's definitely fresh enough, he didn't get worn down in the SEC. But we also have no idea what he is an...
