Re: 2024 T&F Championships
Interesting that there are only ten men’s teams. As it appears above. I did some quick internet sleuthing, and what's above appears to be correct. Some schools, including both Georgia schools, don't have a men's track team, but they do have a women's track team. I wonder why that is. Title IX? Lack...

Re: 2024 T&F Championships
I know exceedingly little about collegiate track and field. Obviously, I want App to win first place in everything. Looking at the final standings, I'm happy to see App finished ahead of all the teams we consider rivals on the men's side, and Marshall was the only rival ahead of App on the women's ...

He averaged 15 a game and shot 52% from 3. But he only played in four games, the last four. I believe he was coming off a knee injury.

2024 T&F Championships
The Men finished 4th, one point from third and the Women were 6th. The Men improved by one spot and 15 points over last year. The Women improved four spots after finishing dead last in 2023.

Interesting to see the number of transfers within conference in the Sun Belt.

Re: Baseball Scores
Troy has become the beast of the league. They are still 2 games behind UL but have won 7 in a row.

Yes, according to the verbal commits site he indeed is a walk-on. We should have at least one or two more scholarships to offer. He played for a very good Randy...

Re: Another Portal Loss and Portal Discussion
I know I will never know, but I would like to know how academics affect the portal entries and exits. Are we worried about the grades if they are only playing one year? Can we bring a student in with bad grades who has no intentions of having a college degree just to play ball for a year? I guess i...

Yosef Tour
I would love for folks that had the opportunity to catch one of the Yosef Tours to give an overview of what they heard/saw. Some of us live out of state (to the north) and don't have access to the tour. Some folks have dropped a tidbit here or there but I would like to hear what was said about the e...

Re: Portal season (Abson, Spillers, etc)
I see one common factor in all the transfers: the coaches. Many of you have waxed on about NIL and whatnot, but in the end, relationships are very important and in some cases more important than money It was pointed out very early how together this team was. Could it be that they were together agai...

Re: Portal season (Abson, Spillers, etc)
Marsh leaving is a good thing. Was he a problem? Not happy with minutes I assume? He was a PG, a Freshman PG at that, and led the team in shots taken per minute played. He put up .46 shots per minutes played. That doesn’t sound like a lot, but the next highest was .37. Gregory was .33 per minute fo...

Re: 2024 Baseball Mega Thread
You should win a game when you score twelve runs, unless you give up 12. The one thing you can say about this team, you can never count them out with their ability to score runs. Of course, with only one reliable starting pitcher, it's hard to think we can last long against the top of the league.

Re: Portal season (Abson, Spillers, etc)
It's clear that NIL has not been the sole motivating factor for these departures. In terms of leaving for greener pastures, so far, only Spillers going to Wake fits that category. I assume Abson will make the jump to a higher level. It is a bit perplexing. I do understand that folks have their reaso...

Re: Portal season (Abson, Spillers, etc)
Harcum going to Murray State? That makes absolutely zero sense unless he's simply getting a paycheck. If some of our players transferred to get 3 more minutes a game screw them. Murray State is a way better program than ours. They’ve made it to the second round of the tourney 4x since 2010. We’ve b...
