Re: Birmingham Bowl
What does embarasing football on national TV do for your program? Not much considering we’ve had our fair share of embarrassment the last few years. Well I am giving the man a chance, but if we lose to GS two times in one year I will hate him for the rest of my life. Jerry Moore did that once... He...

Nevermind. Prosecutors charged Moore with felony third-degree home invasion and two misdemeanors: stalking in a domestic relationship and breaking and entering. Moore was released from jail after meeting the $25,000 bond. If the "victim" of the home invasion is the paramour who turned him in, proba...

Still don't have a clear idea of what happened per the news I've read.rbarthle17 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 12, 2025 2:16 pmThey've already had Poggi as head coach for multiple weeks this season.
It's an awful situation that has gone from bad to ugly real fast, and well beyond anything football related in terms of importance.

Re: Birmingham Bowl
Dowell was on the Josh Graham Show today. Said if we had to play in a Walmart parking lot, we'd do it. Said he called 4-5 seniors before accepting and they were all for playing. Dowell Loggains was fired up; if the App fans are as excited as he is this is going to be an epic game in the Deeper than...

Re: Birmingham Bowl
Disagree with this one point you made. I absolutely believe the overwhelming majority of guys in the app locker room if not all of them do care about winning a sunbelt conference championship.Cro-Magnon App wrote: ↑Tue Dec 09, 2025 1:43 pmI don’t believe many players care about winning some hardware to put in the trophy case nowadays.

Re: Birmingham Bowl
At the beginning of each season, every school knows the playing ground. You win enough games, you are potentially in the cfp. If you have a decent record, you will be on invited to a bowl game. You also know, that depending on your record, you may not be invited to an elite bowl. You also know that...

Re: Birmingham Bowl
Excited that we get more football!! In a related thought, schools that opt out should be ineligible the following season. Many schools opt out because they won't have enough players to play or look at the expenses and payout to see they would lose money. When we have so many bowls that we have team...

Re: Birmingham Bowl
I don't blame anyone who is looking to transfer who wants to sit out. I do, finish the damn job. You're under scholarship for the season, you owe it to the teammates that have poured themselves into this season, and those that supported your journey from the start of the season(s). Especially if yo...
