Re: FB at No. 24 JMU, 3:30 p.m., ESPN+
I would love to see a breakdown of G5 (peer schools) in terms of current year record versus prior year and also the amount of roster turnover. Basically how many peer schools have either turned their record around or have dropped off and of those schools what is the number of players who are new th...

Re: FB at No. 24 JMU, 3:30 p.m., ESPN+
It has been said here and I have said it in the past. I would much rather see some quality FCS guys than Alabama bench warmers. One you can judge the other is a guess. The game is filled with guys who were studs in HS and never see the field in college. All three of our championship teams would win...

Re: FB at No. 24 JMU, 3:30 p.m., ESPN+
DLo started in Dec. He inherited a losing team on a downward trajectory We did not have good OLine and Dline for several years and they were getting worse every year DLo had to accept whatever HS recruits that were coming in and recruited from the same staff that got fired or not have any players a...

Re: FB at No. 24 JMU, 3:30 p.m., ESPN+
Unless we have sunk to dumpster fire we should be able to assemble enough talent to at least go 6-6. I see a boatload of G5 schools who will most certainly finish at .500. As for the unbelievable lack of rushing last Saturday it’s not like our backup offensive linemen are 5’10” and 200 lbs. I realiz...

Re: The Good, The Bad and the Ugly- JMU
Other than the uniforms I don’t see App State football (right now), hopefully it’s not anymore. Like many I feel almost no connection to this program. It’s hard to even speak of the prior regime given the fact that coach passed so suddenly and his tenure ended badly. When SC died so did much of the ...

Just checking but does Dartmouth have athletic scholarships? Certainly no NIL. Any win is good but damn.

Re: FB at No. 24 JMU, 3:30 p.m., ESPN+
How many G5 programs are bringing in legit P4 players via the portal and are good? I agree with some comments related to levels of talent. There simply can’t be a huge gap between G5 and P4 guys (who never really played) and good FCS. You still see big linemen at the FCS level and good QB’s. How on ...

Re: FB at No. 24 JMU, 3:30 p.m., ESPN+
ESPN projects a 2 loss Navy team as the playoff team for the lowly G5. It makes zero difference to even discuss this especially now but if they get the nod over JMU what does that say about the Belt? Basically our champ will about have to go unbeaten.

Re: Winning….
The butthurt around here is nuts. Some people losing interest. Some people comparing lengths of time they've followed the team. Others pooping on fellow Apps for differing opinions on the current affairs of the college world. Good grief. I will say again, as ive repeated so many times on here, thes...

Re: FB at No. 24 JMU, 3:30 p.m., ESPN+
I really wonder how worse we would be if we went back to recruiting the low 3 star chip on the shoulder guys who simply love playing, want to be at App and play TIGMA style. Mix in some solid FCS guys who also felt a bit slighted and fill a few spots with portal guys. I mean can it be that much wors...

Re: FB at No. 24 JMU, 3:30 p.m., ESPN+
I simply don’t understand how a team at our level can have such a drop off at the offensive line position. This is probably an over simplification but even the second string guys are 6’5” ish and over 280 or so lbs. I get that talent varies but you would expect big dudes to at least block better.

Re: FB at No. 24 JMU, 3:30 p.m., ESPN+
We are just not very good at ANYTHING! Why continue to point out one particular aspect of our team? Offensive line is horrible, play execution is horrible, receivers dropping passes is horrible, red zone turnovers are horrible. Need I go on?

Re: Winning….
Tried to find a recent thread to ask a few questions so perhaps someone could support reasonable and hopefully useful and informative answers. Here goes. I read takes referring to this season as a rebuild. Besides the new coaching staff with the current state of college football what exactly does re...

Re: FB at No. 24 JMU, 3:30 p.m., ESPN+
And the “good ole days” used to reference many years prior to the present. Now it’s just pre Covid. Seems like it’s sucked ever since for a handful of reasons. We can just copy-and-paste this comment to basically anything, not just App State football. Yep - has the acronym FUBAR been used more in t...

Re: Official Snowballs in Hell prediction thread
I have always maintained a personal policy to never pick us to lose no matter the opponent and no matter how the realistic part of my brain knew what was likely to happen. At least for years I still felt like the team we assembled was still full of TIGMA guys. Now like many others I just don’t see o...

On a flight waiting to leave. Didn’t know we were leaving playing until son told me we were winning. Clicked on the game at about the 6:30 mark with us up 25-12. Needless to say I didn’t see another App point. KOD. I’m out.

Re: Roster/Staff Updates
Can anyone absolutely with facts and figures show evidence of our peer schools amount of NIL being paid versus their results. Is JMU forking out big money? How many guys came there for big paychecks? I’ve asked before if we had a pool of cash for football would we really get better talent? How deep ...

Re: Stink discussion
College football is littered with receivers who are all roughly the same size, all run fast and all know how to play and the same goes for running backs and secondary defenders but when the lights come on and the opponent isn’t your team’s offense in controlled practices things change. We appear to ...
