Re: TV Ratings: Our games vs Bowl games
Don't know, but I am watching the Little Caesar's Bowl as I type this. Central Michigan just went up with a td with 5:11 left in game. Entertaining game.

That is really a cool experience. Makes me want to find where the hell Taylor is located and go watch a basketball game sometime. Really an amazing tradition.

It is amazing how that works in some peoples minds.

Re: Steroids use in college football
I just read that article. What I found interesting is that it states there is a near zero percent of testing positive for steroids in college footbal. Of course, we have a guy on our team suspended for a year because of a positive test. What are the odds of that happening?

Re: Football Scoop: Coach Blalock not returning/Jones not DC
Coach Blalock was simply the collateral damage resulting from the demotion of Jones. without a contract, which he had tried to get for a year, he was the sacrificial lamb of a plan put in place by Cobb in 2011. I sincerely hope he lands on his feet at a football program who will appreciate his abil...

Re: This thread is for ALL the posters who have been hurt
There is a reason our founding fathers included the second amendment in the bill of rights. If the government is the only one that is armed then the people can be unjustly controlled all the more easily. This is a tragedy but if we continue to freely relinquish our rights after every tragedy in the ...

Re: Big East Split = FCS for ASU?
It's my understanding that it only takes a 2/3 majority vote to disband the conference. There are only 10 current full members with voting rights so the 7 catholic schools represent a large enough voting block in and off themselves to disband the conference. This threat alone should be enough to all...

Re: Big East Split = FCS for ASU?
The ACC's problem is that it tried to be something it clearly is not....a football conference. The ACC was, is and always will be (as long as it is around) a basketball first conference. I don't see why they just didn't realize that and stay within itself. Those 7 cathlotic schools leaving the Big E...

Re: It's a Satterfield...Definitely!
I too have grown weary of Cobb's head coach hiring process. That is because he doesn't have a process, he picks who he wants (or weathly donors want) and pretends to have a search for a coach when in all reality it is just a sham and he already has his mind made up. I like SS, support him, and hope ...

Re: More changes
ECU might just find itself back in the CUSA because the Big East could be dissolved (not likely in my opinion). The 7 non FBS football Catholic schools in the Big East look to be moving away from the conference. They are not happy with the recent additions, especially Tulane, because of the weak RPI...

Re: Sam Martin AP A-A
Yeah, I know what you mean. All those weak mid atlantic and northeast schools feast a schedule of ivy and patriots. I looked at the list and Harvard had a TE named to the first team so it ratifies your argument anyways. I also tend to agree, can't really judge a great player unless they play some de...

Re: Coaches with multiyear deals?
I posted this over on rivals but thought I should repeat my thoughts here. This really makes little to no sense to me, unless it was always going to be SS's job. Everyone knows that a new coach gets to pick his staff. So why would we put ourselves in the position of having to get a new coach when cr...

Re: sounds like charlie cobbs not on the up and up
Sure makes sense why JM was seen as unfriendly toward CC after he clinched the SoCon title with a win over Furman. I really feel for Coach Moore, knowing that he was going out regardless of how he performed must have been a huge burden. I think he did a good job this year rebuilding our program. I r...

Re: 3rd and 1 late in the game?
I think that sack was perhaps the play of the game for them. Its late in the 4th and we only need 1 yard for a first down. If we continue the drive and score we go ahead with very little time left in the game. Instead we give up a sack and they turn around a drive for a field goal and pad their lead...

Re: Week 2 IMPROVEMENT
The biggesti improvement was special teams. We had good coverage on punts and the one kick that wasn't at touchback. I also liked that we cut down on the penalties, still need more work in this area but it was an improvement. We need to run Frazier in 3rd or 4th in short if we are going between the ...
