We are in need of someone to take over the maintenance of the MMB. Yosef has done it for a long time, and we are grateful for all he has done, but life happens and he no longer has the time to devote to its upkeep. If anyone here is interested in helping to keep the board running, please let me know via DM.

Re: FB Play By Play 2025
Whoever it is needs a good tag line. I never thought I'd get over "Touchdown Black and Gold" and "Ball game at the Rock". But i grew to love "That's an App State touchdown" too.

I still miss Yogi's Subs on KIng St. Thank goodness Pepper's is still in business! Ditto on Yogi's It was hard to beat a turkey grinder from there. The best of Boone late 70's ish (IMHO): Turkey Grinder - Yogi's Hot dogs - Boone Drug Buzz City Special - Buzz City Biscuits - Buck's Biscuits Chicken ...

Re: Boone Restaurants Closing
I think the pizza joint was Chanello's or something like that. Chanelo's was over on Faculty street behind where the Hardee's was and in the same shopping center as Footsloggers before it moved downtown. I lived over it and worked there. It was far from the worst pizza ever as someone else mentione...

Re: 2025 Men's Golf Mega thread
Golf Teams are cheap (relatively). I always wondered why we bothered with it. You can't play up there for a huge part of the year so no seriously competitive golfer would come to App for golf. And yes, I'm still pissed they took men's soccer away.

Re: NIL and future of NCAACF
Good discussion on this topic folks. If we keep spitballing it we might hit on the magic formula. Someone needs to find it pretty quick or the game will start loosing fan base. I understand spring game attendance is down dramatically all over the country. Is that a precursor? Anyone go to our spring...

Re: NIL and future of NCAACF
I still like the plan from the old days with a tweak. Once upon a time, scholarship players were given a small stipend to pay for laundry costs, a meal out, long distance phone calls home, etc. I think that stopped somewhere in the 70's. I'd like to see that tweaked to a small base salary that all p...

Re: Rays potentially moving to raleigh/carter Finley complex
It's unlikely they move to Raleigh but it's not a complete joke. I live in Rays country. They want to move to Tampa but St. Pete won't let them. The latest stadium deal fell through. Discussion of moves to Tampa have been shut down by the St Pete board. They can block the move to Tampa but thinking...

Re: The Tournament….
Sports evolve over time. That's why it's so hard to compare stars from different eras. But the game today is an abomination compared to the 70-90's. Push-off is allowed for offensive players, carrying/palming the ball is okay, no such thing as traveling as walking calls are non existent. Flopping is...

“ I just can’t have any sport to watch currently. Sad days. “ Hockey. It’s the best thing on tv. I grew up in NC and am old, hockey isn’t even a sport to me. I do like for the Canes to win. But never watch. I'm old but Winston-Salem, Greensboro and Charlotte all had hockey teams when I was young. T...

How long will it be before our uniforms have sponsor ads on them? College football has been a business for a long time but this, this no longer resembles college football. College athletes give up a lot regardless of the sport. They should be compensated, but most already are. It came in the form of...

Re: Dowell Loggains
Well, I like what I heard. He talks about building relationships and those driving everything. Just substitute family for relationships and you kind of get the "App Family" history that's been built here. That sentiment gives rise to the TIGMA philosophy and why players play so hard for App State. It...

Seriously hope you are joking around, Bro you can’t even try to compare the tar heels brand vs South Carolina. And I am a proud UNC hater. North Carolina is better than South Carolina in every way, both the states and the schools. I hate the heels...but this is 100% right. Say Carolina and people t...
