Re: G6 playoff gaining momentum
Everybody is getting tired of the crap. https://x.com/nextroundlive/status/2003264312127946942?s=46 Kirby Smart on managing his roster while prepping for the playoff: "Everybody's announcing what they're doing. I'm announcing that I'm going in the portal. I'm announcing that I'm re-signing. How abou...

Re: G6 playoff gaining momentum
If we voluntarily leave to create our "own" playoff system we will be right back in FCS land. I don't agree with that. We all knew the dirty world of FBS when we (most folks supporting App Football) decided to move up. We just have to continue to fight for what we can. The power players are against ...

Re: G6 playoff gaining momentum
When we have average lineman leaving and getting paid you know the market is frothy. The third string QB at Wake was paid $75k this season and never saw the field So ask him, in retrospect would you rather take $75k ( less agent fees and taxes) to bust your butt in practice and ride the pine or sta...

Re: G6 playoff gaining momentum
The games this year in CFP are no different than years past or FCS playoffs over the years TCU lost by 58. Florida State lost by 39. Michigan State lost by 38. Oklahoma lost by 35. Ohio State lost by 31. Alabama lost by 28. SMU lost by 28. Ohio State lost by 28. Notre Dame lost by 27. Tennessee lost...

Re: Could ACC be snubbed and SBC get in CFP?
Bowls have become a joke as most teams playing are grossly depleted of their talent. No longer can you say SBC had W/L record and it mean anything. The products on the field are essentially running practice squads against each other. When the QB for a CFP, i.e. Oklahoma, doesn't even show up for hi...

Re: Could ACC be snubbed and SBC get in CFP?
ND should never get an automatic nor should any other school. The whole system is setup with conferences feeding into the CFP and it should. As such, each conference should structure their CCG to put the two best teams in that game.

Re: Birmingham Bowl
Not much considering we’ve had our fair share of embarrassment the last few years. Well I am giving the man a chance, but if we lose to GS two times in one year I will hate him for the rest of my life. Jerry Moore did that once... He is no Jerry Moore. Sharing that positive energy again I see. Reme...

I also saw what Drink said about similar topic.
The system is broken and not sustainable. It has to be fixed

Re: Portal time 25-26
I wonder how many times and how often these kids will change jobs when they get out and have to go to work? What company would want to hire and train an individual who has a reputation of jumping jobs every time a little more $ is on the table? In my world of IT, it is an expected thing and usually...

Re: Portal time 25-26
Related to the Kohl point but definitely applies to all players, the coaches must insist on players that want to compete. Anything less will not work and we will not be competitive.

Not saying both won’t get some looks because QB’s are limited supply but neither one blew my socks off either.

Maybe he is using Sellers as bait for some other QB prospect? Who knows. You better get it before someone else gets there first.

Re: Lanorris Sellers is in Boone with Coach Dlo....
What I see is DLo marketing App State and using every tool in his toolbox. He did pull in a 4-star and in the past that was unheard of for App. I give him Kudos for making it sound like App is the place to be. We just signed probably the highest rated freshman class. Clearly he can sell and that is ...

Re: Could ACC be snubbed and SBC get in CFP?
We went from 4 "deserving" teams to crown a champion to 10 deserving teams + two conference champs that don't belong (same last year as well, this isn't G6 specific). 10 is enough to crown a champion, and it shows no matter how far we expand there will be complainers. If we go to 24 this will cheap...

Re: Portal time 25-26
Will be able to play if they want to. I hope Manuel and Porter play. I would be of the opinion that if anyone did play, it would show a willingness to be open to a return. This is a new era. I think someone said like NFL free agency, they have to declare. DLo said his job is to re-recruit the ones ...

Re: Could ACC be snubbed and SBC get in CFP?
They should be mad that Alabama got in...not Miami. Alabama had three losses. By the way...i agree with the CFP......i thought they nailed the selections. Agree and as a neutral observer, Miami and ND had basically equal resumes, W/L, SoS, other comparable stats, BUT Miami won the head to head game...

Re: Could ACC be snubbed and SBC get in CFP?
I have to laugh when folks dish on ND for not joining a confrence. All we talk about is how to get more money but folks expect ND to give up a bunch. There is not one person in the country who would be good with their team having to give up money for any reason at all. As far as them not accepting ...

Re: Birmingham Bowl
The UGA NIL fund is suing one of the ex-players that transferred to Vandy at end of last year claiming he breeched his NIL contract by leaving early. I assume the NIL contract was a multi-year deal. This is where it is going. If you sign a NIL contract with a duration of time, and leave prematurely...
