Re: Hard to see
We can beat both of those teams, and I expect us to do just that. I can’t get to expecting it, but when I was watching last night I did have the thought that I don’t think either of those teams looked definitively better than App. I think the way in which App wins Saturday (knock on wood) will tell...

Re: Let's talk about Clark
We are definitely on the wrong end of NIL. Unless there are App related businesses who want to shell out money for decent football players we will probably lose our better ones who can go be role players at P5's for pocket change there. We might get lucky in the portal but by and large we are grabb...

Re: Let's talk about Clark
Agreed. It’s his players and it’s his surrounding staff. The coaches may not be the ones on the field making the mental mistakes, lining up incorrectly, hitting the wrong gap, missing the tackle, fumbling the ball… But they were the ones that were responsible for that player being on the roster in ...

Re: Let's talk about Clark
Players not executing ultimately comes down to coaching. Attention to detail is a top down driven attribute. Hiring the staff. Recruiting the players. Developing the players. Developing the gameplan. Executing the gameplan. This is how every job works to some extent. You mention the hiring of staff...

Re: #TeamClark
Clark has been coach for 4 years. Assistant coaching turnover and losing recruits is on him too. He’s the head coach. Assistant coaching turnover comes down to App State doesn't squat and you not keeping someone who is going to a P5, you are just being kinda stupid at this point over that topic. Ev...

And they called the screen. Everybody on our sideline knew the pressure was coming. Screen was set up perfectly. JA just didn't read it right. AppState News I guess you agree with me on my other observations??? We got played because WE didn't go for the KILL , over and over again...... its hard to ...

Re: Wyoming Discussion
While your baseball analogy is correct, it's apples to oranges. What if Clark played for the win and Joey threw another pick 6 or Noel fumbled and returned for a TD? Then it's "OMG CLARK! GAME WAS IN HAND! JUST KICK THE FG!!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" by the same exact people saying he should go for the...

Re: Wyoming Discussion
This is a great post... Satt coached against 5 ranked teams during his total tenure. Clark coached against 3 ranked teams alone on one season. And the SBC the last 3 seasons has had multiple top 25 ranked teams, ULL, Coastal. It's a different tax bracket Clark is coaching in. And we are still a bet...

Re: Wyoming Discussion
3- Bohl had the balls to blitz the last play, a screen or QB run should have beaten it, IMHO Coach Bohl knew if he kept the game close, he had a chance. We kept the game close by play calling that was working but not successful in TD's...... FCS coaching style will not win in FBS .... Score as ofte...

Re: Wyoming Discussion
I looked back at 2016 as an example. We went 10-3 and people thought we were fantastic. We beat Savannah State, ODU who had just moved up, Idaho, New Mexico State, got throttled by Miami at home and beat some bad Belt teams. I'll rephrase the earlier question. Since the 2016 season how many "qualit...

Re: Wyoming Discussion
:ugeek: The thing is, if Clark made the opposite calls than he did, the same people bitching and complaining would still be bitching and complaining. I haven't gone back to watch fully (I will when I get back home), but from the highlights I've watched, I think the only thing questionable is the 3rd...

Re: Wyoming Discussion
9 wins is this programs ceiling, get use to it. not enough internal resources to be better than that. Lot of silly things in this post, but this may be the silliest. Watching this game I was reminded of an article from last year where anonymous SBC coaches shared some thoughts, and it was said year...

Re: Wyoming Discussion
1) How is it inexcusable? Did you not watch the game and the actual flow? it was sold school grind it out ball game, ball control, running the clock contest. Clark's defense was playing lights out so he coached fairly conservative when he should have to avoid giving them the momentum. it worked unt...

Re: Wyoming Discussion
Common Sense meds... 3 point underdog 2500 miles away for a road game that took 12 hours to get from Boone to Wyoming door to door and the ball team played their tails off. Spoiled App fans are worse than trailer park Tar Hole fans and wannabe Dookie fans. All of that is irrelevant once you get int...

Re: Wyoming Discussion
Same coach beat Texas A and M Same coach has UNC down to the wire 2 straight seasons and a dropped 2 point pass wide ass open ballsy play call produces a win. Same coach in 2021 on side kick vs CCU and energizes the crowd to win the game. Same coach rolled over EZU last week Clark will have another...

Re: Future Non-Conference Opponents
There’s another thread on the 2025 schedule where it sounds like App does have a game for 2025 week 1 on the books now, and just need to add an FCS opponent. 2026 can be finished off with an FCS opponent as well.
