Re: WKU to cusa Monday
Question is will the Sun Belt counter with an invite to JMU(James Madison) or Liberty fairly soon? After doing further searching and reading, it sounds as if JMU is coming in with us to replace WKU in the SBC eastern division which is cool and great for travel expense. Looks like the natural rivals...

Re: First BCS program to visit the ROCK?
ECU or Wake are whom Im betting on. State and Carolina are just too arrogant to make the trip up the mountain. Hell, it took ECU 20 years, and the State legislators to get them to finally travel to Greenville. I agree exactly with your comments. Putting my own personal bias aside being an App alum,...

Re: Sun Belt to Discuss Our Membership March 9th
Agreed that ECU should be our rival if we make the move. However Western has only beaten us 2 or 3 times the past 20 years, that is hardly a rivalry. Georgia Southern is more of a rivalry to our current players And we have that rivalry locked with the move to SBC. Will ECU play us every year? I see...

Re: Appalachian @ NC State - Roll Call
Just went by field... Not a speck of snow and infield is dragged. No signs of standing water. State players are prepping for practice. Overheard a state fan ask a player if the field was just too wet and the player responded I have no clue why we are not playing today. If I can figure out how to po...

Re: Coldest Football Game in Boone
This GSU playoff game is the coldest I know of and I was at that game and we were heaving snowballs. (That is heaving as in throwing.) Makes me wonder how in the world did Bjorn Nittmo kick the ball so well and he was barefoot kicker. I cant remember if he had a sock on or not. I'm pretty sure Nitt...

Re: This Doesn't Look Good
Jacksonville State could potentially be in the mix.
On another note, I can not for the life of me understand why Montana declines their opportunities. They could make it regardless of what is claimed.

Re: This Doesn't Look Good
Come to think of it, if Delaware was serious about moving up they would probably be more apt to go the MAC route to avoid the island.

Maybe, just maybe, those five could include the likes of ours truly, the Appalachian State Mountaineers, along with Georgia Southern(otherwise known as The Stink), Liberty, Delaware, and James Madison.

here is something I came up with a while back and would love to see on the field http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a271/jgsmith725/football2012A.jpg I REALLY LOVE the pants you have in this design and would welcome those big time. I do not like your jersey designs and would LOVE to keep the style t...

Re: A Little Perspective
Why do we need to cut military spending when we can give it away to our enemy. How many F-16's and what was it 200 tanks plus a little spending cash Obama just gave to the muslim brotherhood? All the money we are just passing out freely to other nations to boot. Scratching my head  :? :x :evi...

Re: Bear as Secondary Mascot
Great idea! Have always liked the idea of having a Yosefs cabin in a clearing in the woods on the hill at the south end. We would have to name the bear "Boonie Bear"

Re: Bear as Secondary Mascot
Good idea. Right now we need all kinds of ideas because I do not feel like we have enough intricate traditions going foward to aspire to the next level. Always liked the idea of a cabin built in a clearing in the woods on the south end up the hill. Hey this idea of a "black bear" could be good thing...
