Re: G6 Playoff
GP playoff and bowls outside of CFP are just for partying. A lot of players are opting out of bowls and some even CFP games because they view it in their own personal interest. That make bowls merely a pride thing and an opportunity to go party. Let's just call them what they are. There is nothing ...

Re: G6 Playoff
I kind of compare my view of App football in the same way as Panthers football. My expectations for both are to win the NC and the Super Bowl. My realistic view is that either final game is generally unlikely. If that doesn’t happen I want both/either team to make a playoff. If that doesn’t occur t...

Changing the rules so more 5-7 teams can compete in bowl games with unclaimed bids: https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/48713433/proposal-seeks-flexibility-5-7-teams-fill-bowl-games Easy button: in lieu of changing the rules, maybe ditch some of the lower-tier bowl games…since no one w...

Re: G6 Playoff
So the proposal is for a G6 playoff... that doesn't even include the best G6 team. So no one could credibly call the winner the G6 national champion, if there were such a thing. Real worst-of-both-worlds solution. I agree that "G6 runner up" would be an odd tournament and title. But if you look bac...

Re: G6 Playoff
I wish someone with some $en$e would see the money in an NIT football tournament and keep the g6 CFP spot and create an NIT for the conference champions who did not make the tournament with some invited teams to create a 16 team playoff. Make it part of the CFP contract that TEAMS FROM THE P4 MUST ...

Re: Roster/Staff Updates
For everyone’s sake, yes I do believe we should win 8 games. There are some who are unhappy and are looking for a reason to push for another change. I don’t agree with that so soon, but I can’t ignore it. I am with you on not pushing for change too early. He definitely needs 3 years unless we don't...

Re: Hubert Davis to NC State...
This is the second time I've read that doing this would "stick it to UNC," and I don't really follow the logic.

Re: Charlotte Hornets fans
It's been fun to actually care about them again. I was in Charlotte last weekend and got to catch their game against Portland. Certainly a team no one is going to want to face in the playoffs if they can get in. For the first time in forever, it feels like they're building something and not just hop...

Re: Joey's quest for the bag
I'm old enough to remember when an athlete "chasing the bag" meant he was trying to go pro instead of trying NOT to go pro at all costs.

Re: MBB vs S. Alabama 2/4 6:30 PM
MAC/Sunbelt challenge.....I would change the way the are picking opponents. I think 2nd place in Sunbelt should play 2nd place in MAC. (This time of year) Chance to increase your NET like that. Akron, current 54 net ranking, at the Holmes Center would probably draw a pretty big crowd this weekend. ...

Re: MBB vs S. Alabama 2/4 6:30 PM
Question for all: Do you like or dislike having a semi-meaningless non conference game at this point in the season? The early season MAC - SBC challenge games make sense. Not sure about the late season ones especially if you have to travel. I like it. The reason for the late-season game, in theory,...

Re: HYPOCRACY
I'm asking these questions seriously, with all respect and sincerity. I'd really like to hear people's opinions. Why should I care? Why does it matter if "college" athletes are actually attending classes? If App, or any other university, basically just started hosting minor league football and bask...
