Re: House of Reps bill on NCAA issues
I'm not sure why athletes can't be employees..... I was an employee of the school as a student. I went to class as a student and worked at Legends as an employee. I think making them employees opens the door to a player filing a lawsuit saying that he shouldn’t be required to attend class as a stud...

Re: NIL and future of NCAACF
So my original question still hasn’t gotten a direct answer but it looks like the answer is no, sports at App do not generate a profit. And thus there is no money to pay players. So at least at Apps level the whole players are being taken advantage of argument is a fallacy. Not buying App athletics...

Re: NIL and future of NCAACF
After over 40 years of Yosef donations and season tickets my wife and I have decided to no longer contribute or buy season tickets. Don’t believe in the new system and not going to support something we don’t believe in.

Re: ACC
App is a big market team in a small market town. Granted that is what makes it appealing to us, it’s lacking in logistical appeal. It’s remote from any decent size airport. The town infrastructure isn’t quite set up to accommodate crowds that would come with the expansion of KBS. Not to mention ava...

Re: ACC
The ACC will be a shell of its current self in 4-5 years. The top programs will bolt and be replaced with lesser options.

ACC
With this weeks announcement of buyouts for current ACC schools expect the league to look measurably different over the next 4-5 years. Expansion will be likely not only to increase current numbers but to backfill another 5 or 6 departures. Not out of the realm of possibility we could fill a slot. W...

Re: NFL draft moving on from small schools
More and more of better players will depart for higher ranked programs which will leave less talented players filling smaller programs.

Veterans Stadium had a jail and so did Lincoln although it wasn’t open but a few weeks. Even having one at all speaks to Eagles fans.PhillyApp1 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 17, 2025 3:47 pmOld news
A few dozen .... The Linc has never had a jail.

Re: Management Matters- FLY EAGLES FLY
There is a reason Philly once had the only jail in an NFL stadium. It’s more than a few.

Re: A sobering reality we are going to have to face
App fans can't get past the obsession of reaching the CFP? Who are you talking to on a regular basis. The majority of the craziest people in our fanbase (i.e. those of this board), are wanted to compete for SBC titles. CFP would be a once every two decades type run is our wildest dreams. Those fans...

Re: A sobering reality we are going to have to face
We had our one legit window to make a NY6 bowl in the 2010s after we moved up and the limits lifted. We no longer have a real shot at anything meaningful. Now that it's all out on the table we have no chance at all. We all need to move on from thay thought as it is what it is. Even if they put guar...
